Every time I write up an announcement, I sneak a Bible verse in there. ; ) I try to make sure it's always different and so far I haven't gotten any PMs saying I already did a certain verse. However, I did recently get a PM from a member who suggested a great idea for these verses. "you should have topic of the week- like courage where people post a bible verse about courage" So let's do that! <3 I will only be changing out topics once a month though. : ) TOPIC Spending time with the Lord -Just write any encouraging thoughts you have on this topic or any other verses you know of that have to do with the topic. : D
ANNOUNCEMENT VERSE Verses - Psalm 143:8 May I hear about your loyal love in the morning, for I trust in you. Show me the way I should go, because I long for you. NET (Side Note- Spend time with God in the morning, before life's trouble of the day come so that you may ready for everything.)
Mathew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. ESV (Side note- Set aside time for just you and God, away from life's distractions. Have this one on one time away in a quiet place, humbly, and not in front of others to gain respect. For it is about God, not you.) Previous topics and their verse.

a verse about courage that I have recently found while reading the bible over the past couple weeks is this:
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your god will be with you where you go" - Joshua 1:9
Actually the whole book of Joshua has been a book that has taught me courage. And it has taught me to be a warrior for Christ, even when I feel like a heap of coal.

March 3/01/12
Topic = Encouragement for when you fall down.
Verse = 3/1/12 Romans 3:10 "As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one;" KJV. +I feel I need to add some extra info on this. It should help us in those times that we fall, to help us remember that NO ONE is perfect. So if you make a mistake, it's ok, just know that the Lord is waiting for you to jump into His arms. Everyone makes mistakes, and you are not alone. : )
3/19/12 2 Cor 12:9: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in your weakness."

April 4/01/12
Topic = His word is from HIM!!!!
Verse = 4/1/12 - 2 Peter 1:20-21 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." KJV
4/18/12 - Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." KJV --Side Note: The Lord takes His word seriously, He will not let it be changed. This verse shows it, therefore we can trust in His word being His word.

The word? As in the bible? Now, I thought God, Jesus and, the Holy Spirit are one? Hmm....I am very certainly confused. I'm going to have to read that passage to get the meaning now.

xXxAngelic-EvilxXx The word? As in the bible? Now, I thought God, Jesus and, the Holy Spirit are one? Hmm....I am very certainly confused. I'm going to have to read that passage to get the meaning now. Well, Jesus is the word, and the word became flesh. Verse: John 1:1-5 "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was d God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And i the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." I hope that helps. : ) It is a bit of a confusing topic, so don't be worried if it's still a little confusing. : 3 It might also help to talk to your pastor or minister for a better understanding and beforehand to also pray for understanding. : ) <3

Thank you. XD heart

Topic = Forgiveness
Verse = 6/1/12 - Mathew 18:21-22: "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?' Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times'"
6/18/12 - Mark 11:25 ESV And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” (Jesus COMMANDS us to forgive.)

Topic = Conviction
Verse = 7/1/12 - What is conviction? "There is in the heart of every man or woman, under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, a sense of guilt and condemnation. Bunyan made it a heavy pack on the back of Pilgrim; and he did not lose it until he reached the Cross of Christ. When we realize how guilty sin is, and how condemned is the sinner, we begin to feel the weight of that load." A.C. Dixon
7/18/12 - What to do when we are convicted? "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
