On teh back tehres and empty whole taht says expansion slot??? What is that?
It's for an "external" harddrive that was released around the same time as one of the Final Fantasy MMORPGs for the PS2 so you could install the necessary software to run the game.
IIRC, you could also use it to store music and game saves but not much else.
