Why ty

Veliosia was born to a southern belle and a not so unlucky gambler, on All Hallow's Eve. His father taught him how to play his first card game, a good five card poker. Veliosia picked it up quickly and learned how to play not only poker, but several other games from his father. His mother, on the hand, taught him about superstitions. She always avoided doing so many things, because of her superstitious beliefs. Of course, this stuff rubbed off on him and so Veliosia learned to deal with superstitious ordeals.

His father, before he left to do something aside from gamble his life away, gave Veliosia his first book, Hoyle's Book of Cards. His father always told him to look past what is shown and find what isn't. His father died a few days later, and his mother wasn't all too surprised by the news. One of the many superstitions had warned her. Veliosia set to reading his dad's book, it being th eonly thing he really had to think of the man. It wasn't until his sixteenth birthday that he realized the truth behind his father's words.

He set off on his own after that, making his way through the south, heading west with nothing more than some food from his mother, his father's book, the clothes on his back, and a new deck of cards.

Vaur was born around the area that would soon become the City of Lost Angels. Once California dropped into the sea, his family was one of the many that flocked to Grimme's message. Vaur was always a beefy guy, and he was welcomed into the Guardian Angels (basically, LA's bullying police force) with open arms. Spending his days enforcing the laws of God, Vaur was an exeception to the Guardian's usual rule-he treated the Lost Angels with kindness. Eventually, he became well liked enough to move up a few steps in Grimme's hierarchy-and he learned a truth he will never forget. He learned why the area around Lost Angels could barely grow crops, and also an unappetizing truth about Grimme's "Sunday Feast". Let's just say that it's not chicken this guy serves. Vaur was digusted by all this, and hated the fact that he was blind to the truth. Now, he wanders the West, wielding a Greatsword stolen from the Guardian Angels, and seeking redemption from God himself by following the laws of the Bible. This devotion did not go unnoticed by Heaven, and Vaur has been given the powers of the Blessed. The creatures of Hell are stepping stones to his true redemption. Vaur will not be stopped-not even by Grimme himself.
