Are there many people in this guild who are as interested in the intellectual defense of the faith as I am? Just fishing for like-minded people.

I believe that faith is meant to be defended by groups of people using words. The Northern Humanists showed it during the Reformation Era (e.g. John Knox, Martin Luther, Erasmus). Some people react to logic and reason better than others, a case common amongst nonbelievers.
And the charge of "soldier" is gladly accepted mrgreen

God is my strength... "Psalms 28:7"
I'm just beginning to study more into apologetics.
I'm a real quiet person and sometimes I don't speak up for myself like I should so it's a slow process building myself up. Well, Christ is building me up!
...God is my joy "Psalms 96:11-13"

I've read some books and have watched a lot of movies about how scientific discoveries sometimes aren't really science but modern day fantasy.

I am most certainly interested! If I believe in Christianity, I ought to be able to defend the faith! smile I Peter 3:15
