I had this really nice kitty named Sugar for years. She would get sick off and on but she'd get better and then be all normal and cat like. She was old. She may have had cancer, or arthritis; we didn't know. She just didn't like people touching around her leg because it hurt. But it was such bullshit that she died when she did. She got a really really bad cold and lost interest in eating and drinking for a while, and she was really mopey and lethargic. But it was a ******** cold. Mom could have given her fluids with a syringe but she didn't. She could have gotten antibiotics, but she didn't. They just took her and put her to sleep because of ******** money most likely. She said when she took her in she actually started acting better. Perked up, meowed, started purring. And they still ******** killed her. I don't think I'll ever forgive my mom for that. It happened a long time ago but sometimes I still get triggered to think about it by certain things ): /rant

We all make mistakes in the pet field. I have made my fair share. We just have to learn from it and move on. No use in keeping all that pent up anger. It's only hurting you, anyhow.
But if it really is bothering you, maybe talk to your parents about how that upset you. Of course, you have to make sure you are calm before and you can't just start blaming them so that they become defensive. But maybe if you express your feelings to them, you will feel a little better.
