I have been absolutely unforgivably horrible these past few weeks. Haven't really been doing Cowboy's exercises, haven't really SEEN Rascal much and this morning, I realized my rats had NO water and I dunno if this happened overnight or if they had any yesterday but when I filled their bottles they drank for 5 minutes straight without taking a break. The only reason I noticed they were empty was cause I happen to be home today and Aida woke me up trying to drink water, I though, geeez, she's been at it for a while, and I got up only to realize she's looking for water but there's none. Blaze has gotten CHUNKY, I can't remember the last time I let them out of their cage. I mean I'll pick them up and hold them once a day, for like a minute, but they haven't been out to run around in ages. And I just give them food puzzles to keep them entertained so now Blazie is quite chubby. Aida somehow looks the same despite being the more sedentary of the two and the bigger food addict.

I'm going to try to give everyone lots of individual time and exercise today between cleaning and laundry.

It's so easy to get wrapped up in the grind of life. At least you had your attention snapped to rather soon. They'll no doubt adore the attention.

How are rats? I don't happen know anyone who has had them and nothing beats first hand knowledge.

As far as small&furry animals go they're my favorite. They are very smart, they wouldn't dream of ever biting anyone, they're litter box trained. Even my mother who was afraid of rats when I got them likes to visit them. Actually now I'm trying to get her to stop spoiling them so much. I've always had dogs and cats since I was maybe 5yrs old so it takes getting use to to have something so small and fragile that doesn't come remind you when they are hungry.

They are happily running all about my room as I'm writing this. Cowboy got walked for 40mins and I did his physio exercises and picked him up some omega 3 supplement.

The only one who hasn't gotten much attention today is Rascal, so I'll have him sleep with me tonight probably. I don't always because he tends to wake me up quite early but I'm up early for work anyway.
