NWoD Hunter: The Vigil is going to be starting soon!

So get in on it, kiddies. This campaign will be tough. You'll probably die... Probably more than once. Care to prove me wrong? get in here and show me then!

Story: Your entire life, you thought- no, you KNEW that monsters weren't real. your parents told you that when you were a child, you've even doubted your religion, if you had one, when you saw all that people had to go through on a daily basis just to get by. No... monsters were the people on the streets, just like you and me, nothing like the spectres and myths of legend. You dedicated your life to fighting monsters on the streets of the real world, whether police, FBI, or even military service.

Until the night that everything changed.

You can remember it just as well as you can remember anything. The dreaded shadows materializing from no where, the stench of death in the air, the ceaseless panic that drove you to your knees until you dragged yourself to your feet just to run, to escape. Your gun, your nightstick, your fists and flashlight, all were inneffective. the only chance there was for survival was to run. And then... they came.

Like angels in the night, they came, wearing winged sigils on their uniforms, wielding strange, advanced weapons you've never seen before- weapons that turned back the darkness. They saved you. And just when you thought the night had gotten strange enough, they picked you up and told you to come with them.

As the newest members of Task Force: Valkyrie, it is your responsibility to stand against the forces of the unseen and inhuman, all while masking their existence from those who must be protected. You will be given the tools, the training, and the team to bring the hammer down on the purest of evils.
Will you pick up your torch and set forth into the night?

It's time to begin The Vigil.

Haven't got much WoD experience, but I'll give it a shot. Any details you can provide?

Hmmm....considering most of the other settings (where you "are" the monster) have you "not" being a bad guy, it's messing with my mind a bit to think about hunting them XD

But definitely sounds interesting. I'll give the book a look over, see if the story/setting draws me in enough.

I have to admit, this sounds pretty interesting. I'm about as familiar with Vigil as I am with Vampire (read: not at all), so I think I'll have to choose between the two... I'll look over the Vigil book to see if it really captures me.

Vigil seems to be a little more up my alley than Vampire right now (and doesn't require as much info to pour over), so I'll be joining this campaign. I'll work out a character sheet a little later.

Since the campaign focuses on TFV, will we be getting a free dot in the Conspiracy merit? Or a number of dots equal to our character's presumed experience?

Edit: Actually, to be more precise, what kind of merits/other stuff will characters be starting out with?

Wanted to say I'm definitely wanting to get in on this; I'm already engrossed in reading about hunter history. I originally had an idea for just your general kickass bad girl, but reading some more got me to thinking about a sort of field investigator/researcher. Like, for anyone who's seen Buffy, a Watcher lol.

I've got a character sheet made up, but I'd like to know if there are any specific adjustments we should make since we're starting off as part of the TFV.
