Regarding the announcement and figuring out tank profit

i can not figure out how to work that equation hahaha.
when i tried i failed.
so i then tried the equation that was in the announcement and still failed.
the problem is probably that im just typing the whole thing into my calc.
but its been so long since i took a math class that i honestly dont know how to solve it >_>

It's relatively simple, it's just doing the parts in order.

((((~Plays x ~Score) + 2500 Bonus) x 8Glows) x Lifespan[days]) - (Price x 17) = Profit

meaning:

Plays x Score = A
A + 2500 Bonus = B
B x 8 Glows = C
C x Lifespan = D
D - Total Price (for all 17 fish) = your approximate profit.

Now if you like, you can also find out the minimum amount of plays you need to get per day to pay for all your fish, by doing something similar but in reverse.

(((Total Cost / Lifespan[days]) - 2500 Bonus) / ~Score) = ~Plays

So lets say we're talking the memphis.

total cost is about 1.2m or less. we'll take the high number for this example.

1,200,000 Cost / 280 Days= ~4,286
4,286 - 2500 Bonus = 1,786 (we subtracted the 2500 because you'll typically get at least 4 or 5 plays out of the remaining 1,786 gold.)
1,786 / 400 [~score] = 4.465. = about 5 plays.

This means if you get at least 5 plays every day, your fish will pay for themselves without question. Any more than 5 plays per day, is pure profit in your pocket. smile

I hope this helps sort out the confusion. It's hard explaining complicated things in the announcements due to the character limit. stressed

ok that actually makes a lot more sense.
now i can do the equation for my mule tank which is getting as many plays.
i need to have my mule join some guilds and such.
but i spend almost 2 mil on my mule tank lol

I'm glad I was able to make myself a little clearer. I wish they'd make the character limit on guild announcements like 2000 instead of 1500. I probably wouldn't have a problem then.
