 Odessa hadn't really ventured much outside of her home, if anything, she would rather get someone else to do the whole word of mouth thing/advertise so she could just stay in her cave where it was nice and warm and cozy and just do her readings there, and so no need for coming out, however today was different, today she had ventured out and was now sitting by the lake, her latest customer insisted they ventured out into the warmth of the sun and so, after much coaxing, Odessa had finally decided to oblige. "Thank you for coming out" Nauti said as he had gotten comfortable and was laying across from her "I apologise for insisting but I just am not one for cold places and whilst your cave looked nice I just couldn't stay in there" he said, having another reason why he didn't like caves but decided to keep that to himself."It's fine" Odessa said, smiling at him as she pushed the cards over to him the cards "it was about time I got out anyway" she said looking over the lake, it was a beautiful calm day, perfect to have a tarot reading outside for a change, her cards wouldn't blow away "now, if you would just think of a question you wish to ask the cards and then shuffle the cards anyway you wish whilst thinking about the question" she said as she waited for him to do so. After a few moments he finished shuffling the cards and pushed them back to her "thanks" she said as she started to deal the cards out in a 'looking for love' tarot spread, all cards face down for the time being. "Was what I paid you enough?" He asked, hoping he had given her enough back at the cave."What you gave me" she said, finishing up "is perfectly fine, three fish is more then enough payment" she said as she placed her paw on the first card "let's begin shall we?" She said as she turned over the first card which was the five of cups reversed and carried on telling him about the card etc. ((Bad ending to this intro be bad and I apologises, my brains gone into derp mode so I had to end it a tad poorly. ^^; ))

 Gersif had been out enjoying the nice day while looking for a spot to cast his runes the breeze off the lake ruffling his sash he closed his eyes to enjoy the sensation. There had been few good casting spots in the area and he was starting to just enjoy the walk. That is until he stumbled on a couple , he winced thinking he must have interrupted an intimate moment " Sorry sorry" he shielded his eyes to show he meant to give them their privacy.. .that is until he saw the cards. " Oh Tarot" he smiled, " five of cups? That's uh..." he tries to think, he thought it was something like changes bringing depression... or maybe it was hope? He couldn't remember and the fact showed on his face as he tried to think, well maybe he'd just stick with the part he was pretty sure was right rather than losing credibility " changes, right?" He smiled interested in all forms of divination, though his speciality was runes. " Nice to see a fellow divinator, but don't let me interrupt you further!" He took a few steps back to give them room, it really was a nice day out and he was enjoying watching the female though he still didn't know if she was with the male and there was only one way to find out without further interrupting them. A stone further up the bank was smaller than he normally liked but would serve his purpose well enough. He cast his runes. (Oh no worries I have days like that too razz ))

Odessa growled softly a little, when she was with a client he LOATHED being interrupted, it was rude and she hated rude Kitsu's but when he had gone she quickly yet properly finished up and smiled at the other "due to that interruption earlier you may go back to my cave and take a fish back, have it for lunch, it is only fair after being interupted which I am so sorry for" she said as the other.
Nauti nodded "alright, thank you and thank you for the reading" he said as he turned and walked off, heading back towards the cave she lived in.
Odessa looked around to see where the other went and noticed him just a little bit away and stormed over to him, reching him and growled at him "do you mind!?" She said glaring at him "when I am with a customer I hate being disturbed! Not only that I basically had to give back part payment, if you disturb someone you apologise and leave NOT say anything UNLESS they want you to. So, next time, if you see me, DON'T come near me if you see me with anyone" she said as she turned around and started to walk off before stopping and turned her head back and looked at him "and just to let you know, the five of cups reversed means hope renewed" she said as she carried on walking.

Gersif winced at the admonishment but knew she was right... apparently the runes didn't think so however, they seemed to be encouraging him.
"Again I appologize, it is quite rare for me to come across fellow divinators and I am afraid I got carried away in my excitement. Perhaps I could repay you for your troubles?" He didn't have much but he hoped it was enough. he pulled a pouch out opening it so that content was smellable and visable, items he had gotten along his walk as well as that which he always kept with him, a fish from the lake, berries from the brush, and his ever constant supply of beef jerky. He hoped her nose was as sharp as her tongue and hopefully helped soften her to him... especially as she was walking away, he really hoped she was hungry. He scooped up his runes placing them within another pouch not sure how things would go. He felt bad, he had spoken before he had thought, it wasn't his usual behavior but he certainly hadn't planned on running into anyone let a lone a divinator.

Odessa had a good nose, at least when berries and fruit were concerned, she could smell those two things ten miles away and so she stopped and turned around "payment? You are not worth the hassle of getting payment from" she said, ignoring the fact that those berries did smell nice but she had yummy fish waiting for her at home with a nice fresh apple crumble a human gave her for dessert after helping her, she didn't need his food. "Now if you excuse me, I have a nice apple crumble at home that a human gave me for helping her" she said as she turned and trotted away, showing she didn't need his food, though one thing that came back to her was a spred she did for herself this morning, the cards mentioned she may meet with someone in the near future, never mentioned it it was friend or foe, maybe this was it...no, it couldn't be, he was not exactly a foe but he wasn't a friend either and she didn't really want to bother seeing which way he lent more towards.

Gersif winced again at her sharp words he had clearly not made a friend though he hoped to appease her better nature and at the least not have made an enemy. "You may take that which you desire and I'll not bother you further, I wish only to make amends for my unfortunate trespass" He placed the pouch on the stone upon which he had cast his runes and stepped back so she wouldn't feel threatened or trapped by him, sitting a short distance away he waited and watched a thought suddenly occurred to him, he didn't know what apple crumble was, his human didn't bake much but he did have a few cookies in his pouch if they weren't crumbled at the bottom. "I don't know if you enjoy cookies but you may have mine if you would like." His human often gave him cookies though they often went to the squirrels as he would forget them until they had crumbled to dust. He was fairly certain the cookies were still in good condition he had only received them this morning.. least he was pretty sure it was this morning.
He wanted to ask about her divining to whom she might try to connect, if she did it often or if it was only 'just a job' to her but he worried she might take affront to it and leave all together. A small smile crept to the corners of his lips as he watched her face, beautiful even in displeasure, he had to be careful or he might become smitten to someone who loathed him, a wince at the thought. He would just have to wait patiently and hope for the best.

Odessa sighed and centred herself, pushing the bad emotions away, at least for the time being and stopped and looked at the other "just forget it, keep your stuff, I don't want to be the one whos 'robbed' you of your stuff" she said as looked at him, deciding to at least be civil "I am going to have some decent lunch, care to join me?" She asked, the words were out of her mouth before she could stop herself, it was something she was pondering about doing but she was actually set on not asking him at all but apparently her mind thought otherwise.

He started to wince at her words again until he perked at her invitation heart skipping a beat, he wasn't sure if that was from shock or something more, he didn't want to push his luck but how could he say no? He paused a moment not sure how to respond, then nodded "It would be my pleasure" he smiled relaxing a little, not too much though, he didn't want to blunder it... again. He waited her her to lead the way before picking up his pouch and following. He wanted to be sure he gave her a respectable distance, getting too close would only cause more trouble, and was it him or was it started to get hotter out? He adjusted his collar to try and cool down he really hoped it wasn't nerves...

Odessa stopped by the lake and grabed her cards having forgot about them earlier as she had been too pissed with the other and noticed some pup not only on them but SLEEPING on them and she didn't have the heart to wake him so she picked the pup up carefully and turned around and walked over to the other and placed the pup on his head and then picked up her cards and gestured the other to follow, leading them both back to her cave. As she stood there she looked at the other and mumbled wait as she went in and placed her cards down next to one of the many candles around the cave, she looked around and sighed, loving the fact she was back home and her cave was just how she left it, thankfully no one had been in besides the one Kitsu who had taken back a fish.
"You can come in but watch out for the pup" she said as she gestured towards the bed that her human had made for her out of an old yet non warn queen sized mattress with old silk egyptain sheets and several old , slightly warn blankets "we will place him on the bed to sleep" she said looking back around her cave, to some outsider it would look like they were walking into some old mystic, gypsy fortune tellers cave, it was decked out with basically everything and anything to do with fortune telling/gypsy vibe including the candles for ambiance and several books on tarot reading, astrology, a crystal ball usage guide which she also had the ball to use but never had gotten around to learning it and more.

Gersif blinked not quite sure what to think as she placed the pup on his head, he looked up at the pup as best he could not sure what just happened but he did his best to balance the pup there and to ensure he didn't shift in transit. He was surprised by her quarters which were quite elaborate by his standards. He ever so gently placed the pup on the bed trying not to wake him, how well off her human must be to afford such fine things. He was less of the materialistic type and more the spiritualist but he certainly could appreciate the finer things. His human simply let them fend for themselves, sure she let them sleep at her home but it was a fight for the floor let alone a couch or bed. "This place is remarkable, I doubt I've seen anything so lovely" the cave wasn't the only thing he was talking about but he didn't say it, instead he smiled. "You have quite the arsenal of divination" he smiled scanning the cave "Might I ask what brought you to divining?" He set himself down near the crystal ball gazing at it since he wasn't really sure what it was he should be doing with himself.

The pup rolled over and carried on sleeping.
"Thank you, my human works for a material shop that sells local and imported materials and she brought a new bed a little while ago which is how I came to have what I have in the ways of my bed, it is basically old stuff from her old bed and since she makes her own clothes she made her own sheets as well so hence the old stuff but as for how I got interested in Divination that was my mother and fathers job, any and all books etc I got from them as well" Odessa said with a sad sigh "they, however, are now gone..." she said as she shut up, deciding not to speak of such an event. Odessa didn't know if they were alive of not, she felt that they both were, her cards have said that 'estranged family should be welcomed back and forgiven' but said family members haven't be seen from or heard from yet so whilst she was looking on the bright side she also wanted to just ignore that reading but in the back of her mind she thought it could be possible but till she had found out for certain she had forbidden herself to redo that spread incase it was bad news that time round.
"Anyway, how about some fish?" She said changing the subject as she sat down and pulled three leaves towards her that she used as plates, placing one fish on one of the leaves she pushed it over to him and then used her claws and cut a quarter of her fish off and cut it into bite sized pieces for the pup and placed it on another leaf and pushed that to the side incase he was hungry when he woke and took a small bite out of her fish and savoured the taste, now THIS was nice.

My apologies," he winced once again sticking his foot in his mouth, "I didn't mean to bring up such a painful subject" his mouth twisted in displeasure with himself before nodding in agreement to a meal, he had been out walking all day and hadn't quite realized just how hungry he was until this moment.
He emptied the contents of his pouch onto a section of his sash, as that was the only option other than the floor, to share with her as she was kind enough to share hers with him, and sure enough there were two cookies slightly worse for wear that tumbled out, still perfectly edible he thought before dividing the 'goods' between them. This of course meant he would have to for-go casting today and restock his supplies back home once done here, totally worth it. He looked down at their meal with a satisfied smile, this will be quite nice a nod in agreement with the thought and a smile at her, it was only then that he realized he didn't know her name. "I'm Gersif by the way" an apologetic smile for not having properly introduced himself earlier.

"Don't apologise, it isn't your fault, you were not to know" she said smiling at him "I usually get my dinner as payment for my readings so my apologies for not being able to offer you more" she said as she noticed what he was doing and accepted his kindness "but thank you for sharing your food with me" she said, the cookies did look a tad iffy but meh, still edible, that was the important thing right? "It is a pleasure, now, to meet you, I am Odessa" she said as she took another bite of her fish.
The pup couldn't take it any longer, there was food and he wanted some, he woke up, stretched and looked around, wondering where he was but then noticed the food and headed straight for it, ignoring the others for the time being and just started hovering around Gersif, wanting his food.
"You are awake little one" Odessa said as she smiled at him and picked him up and placed him by the other 'plate' this is yours" she said as she watched him start eating it as if he hadn't had a feed in several years.
The pup just had to dig in, he was told once upon a time it was polite to say thank you but that could wait, food now, he was too hungry to say thanks now.

Gersif smiled watching the hungry pup eat, his eyes then went to Odessa the smile growing wider "The pleasure is all mine, Odessa" It was a beautiful name, greek he thought and now he wished he knew more about the greeks. This meal was just perfect and his smile grew, he wanted to ask more about her divination but was afraid of further imposing, he toyed with the thought arranging and rearranging the words to find what exactly to say talking about gods might be too heavy of a topic, her parents were too painful of one, bringing up her working for payment might remind her of his earlier blunder so what to talk about? "I myself am a rune caster Norse," he clarified, "though I know the Celtic as well, I'm fascinated with all forms of divination however and enjoy meeting other Divinators." That seemed safe he thought taking a bite out of the fish, it was quite good and quite understandable how the pup so enthusiastically dug in to the meal.

"Runes..." she said curiously, it was something she had been interested in learning about but hadn't gotten the time to actually learn anything about them or how to use them "...I see there is still something's I need to learn how to use and they are one of them, I have studied them but not actually been able to put into practise what I know, it is also rare to meet a rune user, I have come across a few other divination Kitsu's, besides my parents but they have used I Ching or Tarot or what not, runes seem to be a little bit of a lost art, so to speak, even they had said they hadn't met anyone who used runes, maybe you will be of some use to me" she said playfully, hating using people but hey, in this case, the cute kitsu beside her may just be good for her, the fates may have just been kind to her after all.
The pup finished his meal and looked up at Odessa, eyes becoming the size of saucers as he realised just who she was "mama!" He said as he ran back to her and nuzzled her side "fank you for the meal and I have missed you so much!" He said, pleased to have his mother back with him.
Odessa shook her head gently as she turned around and looked at her back "wait, since when did I become mama?"
"You are mama, have you forgotten me?" He asked, whimpering a little before he remembered the photo "maybe this will help you remember" he said as he took a photo out of his coat pocket and handed it to her.
Odessa took the photo and placed it on the ground beside her and stared at it in shock, she was an only child, she knew this as a fact, after she was born, even though her parents tried to have another child they couldn't so they accepted it, moved on and were happy that they were parents of only one daughter but the kitsu in the photo could be her twin. The hair was different, but not exactly anything major, just that the one in the photo had the same color as hers just that she had long wavy hair, and her main body fur was more a darker shade of grey/black then what hers was and she, the photograph kitsu, didn't have the markings around her ears but other then that she could of been her her twin, she looked at the guy next to her, not sure what to say, she never believed in the whole 'everyone has a twin out there somewhere' but maybe she should, this just seemed to prove she did.
"See, you are mama!" He said happily, having always believed that she would come back for him some day.
"And do you remember what I named you?" She asked, hoping not to let it be known she was being a 'bad parent' at not remembering 'her own child's' name.
"You silly mama, of course I do, I am Oliver! You named me after grandpa!" He said as he got up and climbed off her, walking around to the front and stepped inside her legs and nuzzled her chest, happy that his mother was back in his life.
"Oh, yes, thats right, I did" she said looking down at the pup and then at the other, she wasn't one for lying and all but what was she to do? This pup actually believed she was his mother, Odessa nuzzled the pup and had one last question, for the time being, "and what was it that I had left you for?" She asked, knowing the kid was going to find her out sooner or later but maybe it was a good thing?
"You said you wanted to go find a cure as to why I wouldn't ever grow, I was to stay here where I would be safe and you would be back soon but that was a while ago, that was nearly a year ago but it is alright now, I have learnt to live with the fact that I wont ever grow, I just don't want to lose you again" he said as he started to cry a little and snuggled into her mother, he had missed her so much.
Odessa realised now that something must have happened to his mother or she had died on her travels either way she wasn't going to throw him out, she didn't have the heart to and nor did she have the heart to tell him the truth either, he finally belived his mother had returned and she just couldn't upset him so she lent over and whispered into Gersif's ear "I apologise for this but any chance you care to play daddy?" She asked, knowing it was a tad awkward to ask this of someone who she had just met but she had never looked after kids in her life, she loved them and hoped one day to have her own but she was a complete amature at how to take care of them and what not that she needed help if this pup was going to stick around, she could barely take care of herself let alone a perma pup.
