I'm doin an OB/GYN rotation right now and it's not typical at all. There's no on call, I get weekends off and I've only participated in 2 C-section deliveries (none that are vaginal). I've participated lots of laparoscopic hysterectomies, salpingo-oophorectomies (removal of the ovaries and tubes), and cyst drainages. The doc I'm following uses a robot that is freakin sweet.
Clinicals rule. It completely makes the first two years of torture worth it!

It sounds so gory when you put it that way! XD
Ugh, I hate getting my bits and pieces looked at. I always want to apologize to the staff for not having a pretty cookie like all the pornstars do. ;_;

Vaginas pretty much look the same, and usually we do pap smears so we look more at the cervix, which pretty much looks like a chameleon's eyeball, but round and smooth. They're so weird.

And here I thought the topic title was referencing a book I might've read.
... I must hear more about what a cervix looks like up close. Better yet, good old Google will help me out.
