I know a lot of the hiragana, still learning a few, but its quite easy!

You don't really full on need a teacher. Definitely make use of this guild. Throughout there are lots of Resources listed.
there are also whole pages on sites dedicated to Japanese learning resources.

And there are plenty of other blog posts and vlogs on youtube where people explain how they study japanese or How they suggest people study Japanese.

Start by memorizing the hiragana and katakana. Once you can write it's easiest to go from there! Good luck!
