So, back in 2008 I got pulled over in Kentucky with an expired license(Expired for about 2004. I lived in KY at the time, but it was like 3 hours away where I got pulled over) . I ended up missing my court date, and therefore getting my license under "suspension."
Well, 2 years went by without me unsuspending them. I thought I was going to have to do a day or two in jail and go to court and such, and, now living in Ohio that was going to be a b***h. So, about a month ago, I e-mailed the county circuit clerk in the county I got pulled over in to find some information on what I would have to do to clear the suspension...
WELL, turns out I just had to pay $40!
$40 ******** dollars to get my license reinstated, and here I thought (and was told by a lawyer or two) that is was going to probably be a day in jail, heavy fines, etc. I could of got them back years ago! (Though, not having them hasn't really stopped me from driving anyway. LOL
Anyways, I take my drivers test the 6th. Then I be legal to drive again! Wooooooooooooo

Yeah isn't that funny a lawyer gave you counsel and it was bad info. I hate that about them. On the lighter side hey at least it's only $40 and you're driving legally. Woot woot.

That sounds something similar to what happened to me. Mine was completely stupid though, I misread the date, I thought it expired in 2011 and it expired in 2010. >_<. I never got a letter about court or anything, but I got a letter saying my license was suspended. I went down and had to pay a small fine and now I just have to ball up to take my drivers test again. I have serious anxiety lol; I mean, I am a great driver, but I hate being tested/watched/whatever, just the thought of retaking this drivers text makes me anxious. I've actually had it scheduled and backed out, and this is still with me driving ninja regardless... and like being a good driver. lol.
But hurray for only $40 and then you're good to go (minus the test, but I'm assuming you're not like me xD) so yay!
