I've been using my Bamboo Fun for about 4-5 years, and it's starting to not respond D8 I noticed they don't make this model anymore. So I was looking at the Bamboo Pen (I'm not interested in the touch function). Has anyone used it? Do you like it? Pros and cons?

hmm I haven't tried the new bamboos but I imagen it must be better if its a newer model, maybe you could check up quickly on youtube, Bamboo Pen reviews, and see what people have to say about them : 3

I agree. Even if it's not the newest model. My Intuos 3 works just fine with some slight mouse problems (my fault for being a gamer). If you do upgrade, you may have to be patient because a lot of people have had (fixable) driver issues.

You're right not to go for the touch function. I bought a pen and touch on accident thinking it was just a pen, and the touch function is honestly more annoying then it is useful. If I don't disable it I find myself accidentally making my screen go wonky.

I reallllly dislike anything involving touch screens >< My mom said she *might* get me an Intuos for my birthday in a few months 8D We were walking in the electronics store, and she pointed to intuos display and asked me what it was. I said it was a drawing tablet, and she asked if I wanted it. I said "Well, I don't need it, but I'd like it...8D...maybe." And then she told me to wait for my birthday. Now I just have to make sure my bamboo lasts until the end of October, so I can finish up Kai's commission * A*

I have a newer pen+touch -- I bought it because pen alone only comes in small size, and I was used to working on a mahoooosive tablet before.
It all works fine, the touch function's useful imo and doesn't interfere with things, great size... but it has a horrible, horrible feel to use. It's apparently meant to make drawing feel more realistic, but I think it's just a ploy to wear nibs down faster. To me, it feels like scrubbing on paper with a felt tip pen, took me a lot of getting used to.

I had been using an old bamboo for a week, but I haven't tried anything besides that. So I'm sorry, i can't help you with it.
