Hey, Guildies...Uhm, I just wanted to let you guys know it'll take me a bit to get into character as I read these posts and check up on other guilds I've recently joined.
I also have a bit of sad news.
It may be a downer on your day, so I suggest you avert your eyes, or cease to read this post. I had to deal with a great loss in my family today. One of my best friends, closest companions, and a special soul to boot, Cheyenne, my dog of thirteen years, was put down. It was a long time coming, but it was for the best. I've already talked to family, cried, grieved, and I'll probably grieve some more in the coming weeks. However, I think now is the time to facilitate these emotions in a constructive way, and role playing seems to be that special something to get lost in and comfort me.
Please bear with me; I know I haven't known you all very well, or that long, but this is the first time I've had to deal with such a devastating loss.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Iris

I wish you well. It's saddening when a family member dies.

Something like this is never easy. But you will persevere, and as long as you always keep the fondest memories of Cheyenne in your mind, you'll be stronger for it, and honor her lifetime by it.
If there's anything I can do, feel free to ask.
