Guildies, I find myself in a bit of art block.
Well... not really art block....
Well, yeah, art block.
I CAN'T DRAW ANYTHING SERIOUS!
I find that all I'm drawing are adorable little things or fanart. And not serious fanart, like adorable little fanart.

This displeases me.
I think I need a prompt. Something to get me back into the serious-ness. (My brother is no help, he keeps asking me to draw things for his RPG. FOR THE LAST TIME, I WILL NOT DRAW YOU A LAWFUL GOOD ELF RANGER! And my friends keep asking for Sharktapuss!)
So will someone please give me some kind of prompt that isn't a lawful good elf ranger?
...Please?

Stop trying to think about what to draw, and just man up and draw something. I bet you can think of a billion 'serious' things off the top of your head - a bowl of fruit, an old man, a study of feline anatomy, some mountains or a beach or whatever scenery's near you, a mother weeping over her lost child...
It's not so much about having inspiring ideas, but about getting yourself back into the swing of putting stuff onto paper. If all else fails, try doing a boring study that you hate (looking at the stuff around me, for example, I would find it very dull to draw my lamp, or my mug, or my shoes). You'll get yourself into drawing, but the magical thing is that you'll start to think of all sorts of more exciting things you could draw instead of what you're forcing yourself to. (Y'know like when you've got homework due in, suddenly you desperately want to tidy your room, or write a poem, or bake a cake?) Works wonders.

Alrighty then. I'm going to give you a set of random objects and emotions, and I want you to sketch something that includes at least one object and one emotion. Don't use the same word twice. When your done pick one sketch to finish.
