Basic Information

The weapon is based off of the M1 Carbine, although it has a lot of semi-cosmetic changes. The weapon has made an extensive use of polymers and composites to make it, which has reduced the weight of the weapon by 2.2 lb, or down to roughly 3 lb. The weapon is made out of similar materials to the XM8 and P90.

Another semi-cosmetic change is that the cartridges are ejected to the side, or right, rather than straight up in the original design. The weapon is also fitted with a pistol grip, a picanty rail system, and a collapsible adjustable stock.

To help deal with the already relatively high recoil, the weapon utilizes a sure fire muzzle break and an impact gel reocil pad. To deal with the somewhat high muzzle rise, the weapon ejects the cartridges to the right, and has a more conveniently shaped stock as pistol grip to help manage the felt effects.

The weapon must fire less powerful, less corrosive powders in order to function appropriately. As such, the ballistics of the gun are somewhat inferior to standard 5.56mm rounds, achieving only 895 m/s, although the round is still better or equal to the M4 carbine in terms of performance.

The weapon also utilizes a polygonal free formed cobalt steel alloy barrel, with a twist rate of 1 : 7 inches( 1: 178mm), that is designed to both improve the reliability, accuracy, and velocity of the weapon.

The weapon is also STANAG compatible.
