Am I really a believer?

That is something only you can answer.
Christianity is not something you can measure; it is a way of life and a relationship with God.
You cannot really measure a relationship right? maybe only with material things like how many gifts you give to your best friend or how often you hang out with someone...but those things don't really show how you really feel about that person. Most of the time you'll do all of those things without even having strong feelings for that person.
So if you are asking for someone to come and tell you that your faith is strong enough, or not strong enough; then, you are just fooling yourself. No one really knows how firm you are in your faith, only you. Sometimes maybe even you yourself don't know. Sometimes..it is just human nature to feel insecure. Which I'm guessing is the case here, since you are looking for reassurance from other people. But if you read the Bible you'll know that if you have accepted Jesus in your heart and have asked for forgiveness then you have been saved. That already is a step of faith, everything after that if just building a stronger relationship with God and growing in your faith, but it is completely up to you.
Also, remember that even the devil believes in God, so it is not merely just [believing] in him.
You do not merely just, believe in a friend, there are more things involved to becoming a good friend.
And remember that God is on your side, whenever you feel weak you can ask him to strengthen your faith.

Well you don't have to do it alone.
God answers all of our questions in a neat book, called the Bible.
Also you are not the only who has questions about salvation. There is a whole network of people asking the same questions themselves. That is where the church comes in, by associating yourself with people like you, searching for answers and learning about the word of God together, you will find that church is not as boring as you might think after all. Just find a church that preaches THE WORD OF GOD. That is really important.
Being a Christian and /or trying to stand firm in your faith can be hard sometimes but God had already given us the tools to overcome: The Bible, prayer, and his Holy Spirit. Anything is possible in the LORD.
