[ Character Sheets ]
[ Premise/Foreword ] This is a remake, or to be more accurate, a remastering of a game I started at the beginning of this year but never continued due to starting in the university. It's emphasis is on survival, exploration, and havin' fun!
It's inspired by the game Monster Hunter.
[ Setting Information/Background ] The world of Verdana. A beautiful world where nature rules and it's inhabitants respect it's awesome power. According to ancient legends, the world is a shell, a sort of cocoon in which a sort of Goddess lives. Most people live in walled cities and kingdoms, using the old survival tactic of bundling up in specific areas to stay safe. Outside the walls, however, nature rules and runs rampant.
To counteract the wilderness, Hunter Guilds hire brave men and women to keep the dangerous creatures in check. A very risky yet lucrative line of work, Hunters venture the wilderness in search of rampaging monsters and bring them down before they cause severe damage. The party is a group that belong to the Hunter's Guild, though their job is different from most...
[ Game Introduction/Plot ] Most of the Continent has been explored, and civilization is slowly starting to grow and expand. The Hunter's Guild, knowing that there might be new and unknown threats lurking beyond the shores, decided to send a small group of novice Hunters to check out whether these unknown, uncharted lands beyond the vast oceans are fit for human life. What will the Hunters encounter in these unknown lands...?
[ Character Creation ]

Arc Vembris http://www.thetangledweb.net/forums/profiler/view_char.php?cid=41960 Still got Fasrogen what's your opinion on Heroes of Shadow? It's not specifically in the Essentials line, but much of its content fits the Essentials format. I've yet to read any of the Essentials books, so I can't say whether they're OK or not for my campaign. Let me uh... procure it, then I'll tell ya.

Quick question about the psionic character rule:
What kind of powers? At-wills, Encounters, Dailys, Utilities?

@Rain: Because I want to start it slightly different. You're still welcome to play the old character.
@Dion: You suck. Also, the powers will be given by me. They're basically At-Will Utilities, sort of.

So basically, when we level, we don't get any powers if we are to get one (ie a Utility at level 2)?

Then, again, here's Rosco Greengage, Halfling Ardent. Should I eliminate the utility I randomly got last time?

Hmm...sounds interesting! I like the idea of being on an exploring team. I had an old dwarf fighter that had never gotten used, but considering there's already a fighter, I might try something different. Would a cleric or a paladin be better for rounding out the group? Or would something completely different be better? I'm just trying to branch out from my usual choice of martial chars, so I'd be willing to try any class.
