Powers: When her palms come in contact with another's skin, she is able to drain energy from them. At times, she can drain a significant amount of energy, or barely any at all. It depends on how long the contact lasts. Once she has taken energy, she can also return it or invest it elsewhere.
Weakness: Viral has not fully harnessed her ability and therefore cannot collect energy from multiple people at a time. She is limited to drain one (at most, two) person's energy at a time, until she can transfer the stored energy (in other words, Viral cannot stockpile energy). This major flaw leaves her vulnerable; but she is otherwise very evasive and combat-skilled.

History: Rice grew up in an urban city. Her ability surfaced when she first hit her puberty years as a young teenager. Rice's family had been broken up beforehand, and her parents were abusive, causing her to favor life on the streets more than life in her own home. She considered her family to only be her and her little sister-- whom she loved dearly.
When her energy-draining ability surfaced, she noticed its effects on the people she came in contact with. She was always struggling with her ability since, and couldn't decide if she liked it or not (she enjoyed the power it gave to her, but reminded herself of her parents whenever she caused harm on others).
Perhaps the most significant incident was when her little sister slipped off a railing on a bridge. Rice had caught her just in time, but the tight, bare grip she had on her arm began to drain the young girl's energy rapidly, killing her. It was until long after-- when she grew more familiar with her power-- that she realized she could have revived her sister with the stored energy that day. But it was too late.
Afterwards, she began to grow insane. Her choices were always the wrong ones after that, and she acted in anger and guilt.
She abandoned her birthname and began to call herself 'Viral' after noticing how virus-like her draining ability was, and how dark guilt infected her soul over time.
Decription of Character:
((Edit:: Viral now has in her custody a weapon built of fused adamantium and kryptonite. It is a double-bladed-dagger; similar to the form of a miniature bow. In description, it is a weapon with a leather-bound grip from which two 8-inch blades extend out of. The weapon rests in a specially-made hard-leather sheath that is strapped around Viral's waist. The weapon was crafted in the Hive's Technology Room))
