I wasn't really expecting this but..

I really miss my two cats.

Since I've been away from internship I barely get home anymore.
And if I am home I am spending a lot of times with my cats as much as possible.

But since I'm here, stuck at internship and 2/3 hours away from home I really started missing them.

But I was wondering...
Can pets forget about your smell, or you in general if you're not around them for a long time?

I am sure they CAN forget you... but I highly doubt they will.

I tend my uncle's dog Poochie about twice a year. So this month, I tend her again... she starts jumping around in the car about a mile from my house, and runs into my bedroom the minute they open the front door. Twice a year and that dog remembers she is my best buddy.

cats and dogs can remember you for ages.

i visit my dad and sister's dogs once a week but last week i took them both for a walk for the first time since i moved. they both remembered how to act when walking with me, not nearly as unruly as they are with my dad and sister when only walked one at a time. it made me really happy whee

Cowboy ran into my brother's ex at the dog park. Hadn't seen her in 6 months. He started crying. At first I didn't realize who it was I was like, wow, he really really likes that person. lol, and then as we tried to go walking in the woods he was being really stuborn and wouldn't come. But she often walked him there so Im sure it was confusing for him.
