First, I'm going to say this: APPEARANCES DON'T REALLY MATTER. Makeup can change pretty much anything. Plus she'll be so burnt/scarred/dirty the whole time that it won't matter anyway.
She sounds like a great actress. Who knows, maybe I'll actually see the movie.

I have to say, the choice kinda dissapointed me. But I probably won't see it any-way's. Movies based on books never are as good as the book it was based on, in my opinion.

I really, really wanted Hailee Steinfeld to play Katniss.
In my opinion, I think she has the perfect appearance and is talented enough to handle the role. However, I'll have to wait and see (along with the rest of the world) how Jennifer Lawrence does.

Now, as far as Peeta and Gale goes, I pictured Peeta as Alex Pettyfer the whole time. I pictured Gale as a younger version of Jared Padalecki. I am not a true fan of either of these boys (I've seen Alex Pettyfer in one thing, and as far as Jared goes - I'm more of a Jensen girl). Those two actors' faces just popped into my head when I read their descriptions and I never thought otherwise since. Personally, I like Josh Hutcherson but would not have picked him for Peeta. I don't really know anything about Liam Hemsworth at all apart from the fact that he dated Miley Cyrus. I'll have to wait and see on those two characters as well.

Hmm, now, for Haymitch I totally pictured someone along the lines of either Charlie Sheen or Jeff Bridges. Sheen? Because he's bat-poop nuts (and I love him) and Bridges? Because Haymitch reminds me of a modern-day Rooster Cockburn type.

Ahh, and for President Snow? I pictured him as Michael Sheen's character Castor/Zuse from Tron: Legacy. Also, I feel like Ralph Fiennes would play the part of Snow just perfectly!

Face it the ONLY thing we have going for us is Suzanne Collins Is ONE of the screen writers. There are two. It seams as if though they are changing ALOT of sences. If the Poster of this Tread's Singnature is correct they're already messing it up..... gonk

I don't think anyone in The Hunger Games fandom is looking forward to this. I mean, let's just admit it. Everyone had their own take on THG series, and that's what made us one of the most original fandoms out there! Now that this movie is coming out, you all know what is going to happen ;-;.
I'll openly say that I liked Twilight before the movie came out. That's when the fan base changed to the movie fans and the fan girls came into picture. Sadly... this is what might happen to us.
I'm very displeased with the casting as well. They put Hannah Montana's old boyfriend as our Gale. I'm sorry, but I can't handle that.
I'm ok with the Rue and Thresh they casted though.

The only thing I like is that Suzanne approved the script- please Suzanne, don't let your loyal fans down D:

The cast initially dissapointed me, but because i don't compare books to movies, I have no problem with it. Obviously, they have to change things in the book because it would just be too difficult to put in a movie. (take everything they changed in Percy Jackson for example)

Well for one thing...... The trailer for the movie is what made me pick up the book. I probably would have eventually, but I haven't been to the library lately due to school. So when I saw the trailer I went out and bought the book. I am constantly rewatching the trailer.
