Wow it's just sad when people try to hack like that! :/
I think the main thing to remember is that NO ONE running gaia will ever ask you to give your password or personal information.

i got that once.... as did my friend...she fell for it and got hacked

Happened to me like 3 times.
They won't hurt you as long as you don't give a password.
But since you seem to know better, my only advice to give is for you report their PM so they can't trick anyone else.

I've had those kind of messages more than I can count (not literally). They always say "you will be banned if you do not reply to this PM with the full details in 15minutes". ETC. I never really fell for it though I do reply to them to shove off and that I'm not some idiotic idiot. Never got banned, me. Not once.

Memorize the important differences between hacking and phishing and don't answer these questions.

I'm very cautious about these things, so I always report these messages and change passwords and etc.

lol that also happened to me before xd the message said that i need to give them my password or my account will be banned in 24 hours rofl it was my first time recieving that kind of message so what i did is make a new account then transfer all my items to that account and I waited if they will really ban my other account if i dont give them my password rofl it turns out that it was just a trick xd
