art allergies

Way back when I was selling sculptures in Oct., the skin on the palms of my hands broke out. I thought it was the people or the hotel so I didn't think much of it. I got meds from the doctor and got back to normal.

Now this week I am putting glaze on my finished sculptures and my hands broke out again. I think I finally figured what it was that was bothering my hands. I think it's the modge podge that I cover my sculptures with. I may be allergic to modge podge.

So what should I do? Is there a good alternative to modge podge? Should I wear gloves? Has this happened to you where you have became allergic to an art supply?

Gloves wouldn't be a bad idea especially if you prefer modge podge over any other products.

I'm allergic to any modeling clays. My hands turn red, itchy and little bubbles start form on the palm of my hands...although it never stopped me from doing any of my sculpture projects. xD
I used gloves although when it came to making details the gloves came off.

Now I found out it might have been this tube paint, I was using. I ended up getting rid of it and I have been recovering nicely.

I'm still wearing gloves for the modge podge just to be safe. Thanks for responding.

if is a regular media, i use watercolor or else x3
