After a severe famine, Sado and his mother traveled away from their homeland in search of a new home. After only 3 months, his mother took ill and died on their journey. He buried her in an unmarked grave and continued on his journey to fulfill their quest. Since then, he has begun to show symptoms of the terrible disease which claimed his mother's life but has yet to be seriously affected by the ailment. He has been avoiding other humans for the most part, in fear that his "curse" may afflict others. In his travels, Sado finds himself in Deadwood Forest.

Image/Description: As a young girl, Pais never got along with her family. They were a quiet group; always following the rules. She wasn't like them, and of course, she got in trouble for anything that wasn't considered "normal" by their standards. Finally, when she was the legal age of 18, she ran away from home and has lived on her own since.
Because she usually stays in somewhat-dangerous areas (i.e. alleyways, abandoned buildings, etc..), she keeps a switchblade in her left boot for protection. Overall, she is a rebel, and will usually do the opposite of what someone tells her to do, if even at all.

Image/Description: Even though Todd seems grumpy on the outside, he is actually a pretty nice person. He loves making jokes and is easily distracted by any type of candy.

She was awoken by an odd noise; one that she just couldn't quite place her finger on. Sitting up in what she now realized was a small bed, Pais ran her hand through her boy-short hair and looked around blearily. It was dark in the room, but from the faint amount of moonlight that filtered through the window, she could make out an envelope that was sitting on the night stand beside her bed.

She was still trying to figure out exactly where she was, but seeing as she currently had no memory of anything remotely important, Pais had nothing else to do but open the envelope she now held in her hands. Carefully, she slipped her finger under the flap and tore it open, watching dumbly as a thin key fell into her palm. Now what was she supposed to do with this? Shrugging to herself, Pais shoved the key into the pocket of her jeans and stood up to made her way across the room, where she pulled open the door and peered out into the hallway, which was no lighter than her room had been.

With a sharp intake of break, she stepped into the hall. It shouldn't be so bad, she figured, but she found herself walking quietly despite herself. Just in case. As she neared the end of the hallway, Pais could make out the noise she had heard once again. A radio, maybe? No.... Finally, she stepped out into a small room--probably the lobby, where a T.V was blaring a broadcast tone on full volume.
