Inferno Breeze posted something in my shop earlier today about livestreams. I found it was a good idea, and its been something I've always wanted to try, but I have no idea how to do it * newb to stuff like that xd haha*

Has anyone here ever done livestreams? what did you think about it? Was it easy for you? or did you just find it stressful having the cam watch your ever move like that behind your back XD?

If you haven't ever tried it, is it something you'd wanna try?

It would be cool if a bunch of us got together and made a few livestreams together, and posted it in a thread. What do you guys think?

I have done a few livestreams. It's really fun. My livestream can be found here

The most resent one I did was on the 16th. A few people come to mine, only a few DeviantART buddies. I might work on digital requests and stuff. Or random OC drawings.

First you need to sign up, then download the Procaster with should come up when you fill out your information for signing up.

Download, install, load it then, type your username/password press the big button that says go live.

Don't forget to broadcast on normal quality, if you have a crappy computer.

Then post your livestream link for others to access, which you should get in an email.

Then draw away.

I do livestreams fairly often. They're quite fun. Though sometimes there's complications that come up and it can be a bit of a pain trying to get the thing to run.

I've gotten a few of my other friends to do it and they say it makes them concentrate more on their art because they have an audience. They tend to work much faster and they like the instant feed back as they're doing it since they can ask for help without the extra process of saving and uploading and waiting for a response.

I never watch livestreams because I have a short attention span ><
And there are so many people doing it at the same time in my dA inbox, I wouldn't know who to watch

If you do manage to get a livestream up and running, could you tell me when you do one? :3

@ Gomeric: oh? what kind of complications that can happen?

@ Skyscraper: yea I kinda wounder if just watching someone draw is entertaining enough or not XD

@Inferno Breeze : A corse : ) I might try it out tonight if a friend of mine is available to doing testing with me. If it works I might set up a day for live streaming.

Occasionally the connections drop and we have difficulty to get it up and running.
A while ago I had problems with it changing the display settings and crashing my computer when ever I would close out of it. This is no longer an issue.
And sometimes it lags and the chat log gets stuck.

You should still try it though. If Livestream isn't to your liking there are also a ton of other streaming websites you can try using.

livestreams are fun. i love to watch people draw. ^^ I'll open one every once in a while, but i find that it lags my PS. D:
which just sort of feels odd and makes me sad.
Livestream itself has never done anything bad to me though.
