Hello hello! Chief here!
The following question is mainly directed to the crew, but if anyone else thinks they can help, by all means post away!
I have a mountain of items, most of which are never used.
Back in the day, i would have tried to sell them and get as much gold as i could squeeze out.
Not anymore.
My net worth is nothing to sneeze at, so i don't really need the gold.
I figured i would give away the items, since many people in this guild are still scrambling for gold. (this is a guild for newbies after all)
My problem is that i don't know how to go about doing this.
There is stuff ranging from useless promos to moderately pricey store items.
Could i trouble you all for some tips/ideas? Thanks a bunch!

If I may, I suggest something of a contest. Something where the better they do, the more expensive item they receive if you follow me. If you'd like I can help you come up with contests.

alright alright. the hard part is figuring out what the contest would be...
it's not like most of the other contests where the items are expensive/desirable.
here is a list of what's in my inventory.
I'll be constantly editing it to remove the items that i will be keeping

oops, that was stupid. i forgot the link. herei'm still skimming through to remove items that are soulbound/locked, or part of some of my outfits. EDIT: i think i'm done now

As for contests, I've held plenty of enviro contests (back when TekTek would load my inventory) and several of my friends have had free layering TekTek contests. Another of them is doing a 'What Am I Wearing' contest in which she constructs an avatar and has contestants reconstruct it.
It could be an art contest, a poetry contest, something involving making you laugh- really whatever you feel like doing. It could be more than one contest for the different sorts of items, as well. You're not necessarily limited to just one.
Random number generators and dice games are also a good stand-by option if you're looking for something reasonably quick and easy.
