Love from an Unlikely Source
The moon was full in the darkened sky And a ghost of a wind whispered in the trees Their leaves skittering on the cold ground It neared the hour of midnight of Halloween night I shivered where I sat amoung the tombstones Waiting for him to appear like a specter from the mists I watched him come from the mausoleum His pale skin practically glowing in the moonlight He had swept his long ebony hair into a loose ponytail And his clothes were reminiscent of the nineteenth century His green eyes locked on me and I stood from my sopt We glided towards one another until we met I had waited for him to come, my heart's desire We stared at each other for but a moment Before he held out his hand to me I took it and we danced to our own macabre song Completely lost in each other for time was so short He held me close to him, his hand cold on my back I rested my head on his shoulder hoping time would stop And we would be trapped in this moment forever But hopes and wishes failed me that night As the clock began to strike twelve He gave me a kiss that was the sweetest I'd felt A kiss that lingered on my lips afterwards He held my hands in his own squeezing them tight Then let them go and faded into the growing fog I remained there alone praying that he would return For just this one time only for a while longer I left the cemetary closing the iron gate behind me I took one last look and I swear I saw him Looking at me from the mausoleum window
Alexander
The night was cold and crisp Stars hard against the dark sky My breath hung upon the air Forming a wispy cloud I flicked my eyes upward There you were on the balcony Standing there Staring I took in the long black coat With the red silk shirt underneath I gazed at your pale face Blue eyes piercing into my being Black hair fell just past your shoulders Laying perfectly on your coat I stood there Staring
You gave a quaint smile And said good evening to me In a delicious British accent That rang in my ears I realised my cigarette was but ash And snubbed it out on the concrete My face red With embarrassment I said good evening back And you moved closer to me I noticed how handsome you were And it lit a flame of passion within I was slowly getting lost in your eyes Before I came back to reality My face red With embarrassment
Nothing more was said between us We were both as quiet as the stars A cold wind blew in suddenly And I shivered involuntarily You pulled my coat around me tighter Leaving your arms around my waist I was surprised It was heaven I leaned back against you Seemingly not of my own will I felt your lips upon my neck Sending a jolt down my spine The slightest kiss against my throat The sweetest thing that I had felt I was surprised It was heaven
Your hands tightened around mine Holding me firmly in place Though I wasn't going anywhere Frozen in the precious moment Your lips were still on my neck But I didn't seem to notice In your spell In your trap Then there was a slight pressure A tiny little bit of pain And I realised you were biting my neck As I felt myself grow weaker My mind became befuddled Just as everything went dark In your spell In your trap
Now I sit here mournfully Though I know that you're long gone I look down at the small card you left Your name upon it and a number A brief message about tomorrow night And I debate whether to call it But I want you But I need you I remember how you felt against me How your hands fit on mine The way your lips graced my neck And the desire comes back so strong I slip the card in my pocket With a resolution in my mind Cause I want you Cause I need you

I wish I knew ~laughs~ The first one was written around Halloween specifically for a contest on another forum. The second one is written about the first vampyre I liked, Alexander, before I started writing about Darian.
Autumn tends to be my busiest time in regards to poetry. My fiance is a big inspiration for me. He's a very romantic goth so I write alot of darker love poems about him.
