Here's my dilema. I'm having my first ever surgery on the 5th of Jan. Just my wisdom teeth, no biggy, but all four.
On the 8th, this organization is going to Sugarbush in Vermont. I have never been. I have been dreaming for the past 3yrs to ski a new mountain. I am dying to go. They have quite a few trips planned in the next 3 months. But I have a job interview, and should I get hired, I really don't know how much skiing I'll be able to do.
My parents seem to think I'll still be in pain, to the point where I won't really be enjoying myself. (They seem to forget the time I went skiing with a fever and the stomach flu.)
SO why am I telling you all this? I want to know, what age you got your teeth out, how many and how long till you were fully functional again. Because I'm stubborn and I want to ski damnit.

I Got Mine Removed A Few Months Ago. 3nodding The Pain Lasted Only A Few Hours...But Then Again Im Different And Weird >.> But My Dentist Did Say, I Had To Be Away From The Sun For A Few Days Or An Entire Week. Seeing As How Skiing Can Bring Pressure To Your Body....It Could Be A Little Dangerous Since It Could Bleed Again. But Other Than That...I Think You're Good To Go! 8D

But Other Than That...I Think You're Good To Go! 8D Well, I'm not worried about the sun as it's not strong enough this time of year. And ya my blood pressure will be up but my face will be exposed to cold all day which is kind of a good thing. Plus I'll have pain killers lol

I did all sorts of things after I got mine removed. The only thing I couldn't do was eat solid foods for a while. The painkillers should help, and your mouth shouldn't bleed unless you bit down really hard. Then again, I have never been skiing.

I had mine surgically removed in 2005 *I was 18* and I was in pain for a few days. BUT my pain meds helped me alot. I couldnt eat solids for 2 weeks but I went to Wisconsin for 5 days a few days after and felt wonderful. Mine were compacted and I dont know if yours is or not. But the ski trip should be okay if you really feel up to it. Just follow your doctor's orders.

But so what if it bleeds, I'll go to the first aid and get an ice cube or something till it stops bleeding lol.

First day I was numb (and dribbling blood....). Second day I felt some pain. Third day, more pain. Then for the next 3 days it was ok providing I kept up with the painkillers and didn't do TO much. But I just realized, mine had to be taken before they grew, so mine were CUT out. But I think you should be able to ski, so long as you keep up with what the doctor told you
