This afternoon YunieCookie and I went walking in a snow covered park. We stopped under a tree, kissed, and then I asked her to marry me. And, by some stretch of imagination, she said yes! biggrin

Now, this thread might be completely pointless for discussion, but I felt like it was the best way to get the message out to all of you. Some of you had an idea that I was going to ask her soon, but... not even I knew that it was going to be today, like this.

Yunie and I started our relationship in little ol' ATG over a year and a half ago. At that point neither of us knew it would grow this much. We sort of like to refer to ourselves as a testament to the success of online relationships. We made it work. Why can't you? Anyway...

I suppose, discussion-wise, it would be appropriate to discuss online relationships, how they progress, how they flourish despite the arguments to the contrary...

A lot of people seem to think online relationships are bad, I dunno why. Some of the best people I know are "online people". You guys are 99% of the awesome people I know that are online. I'm personally not one for online relationships. I've tried them but I just can't do them. It's really difficult, especially when the significant other is in a different timezone. I've got nothing against them though, quite the contrary. I'm all for online relationships, I think it shows great strength of character, power of will and an asston of commitment to do it, so congratulations in every way. smile

To be honest my first thought was, lolwut? Aint they ab it young? Aint this a bit quick? But then I thought how I know of people who have gotten engaged AND hitched in a much shorter time. And sort of have this idea in my head people should try living with each other for a while before they take such a big step.
