So, I want honesty here, guys... honesty.
I want to know whether or not you've ever purchased Gaia Cash before. & if you've purchased Gaia Cash before, how many times have you purchased it before? Once, a couple of times, once every month or two, or on a regular basis?
&, most importantly, I want to know why you've purchased Gaia Cash. Answering that question might require some thought. But I feel that the more thoroughly & honestly people are able to express their reasons for purchasing Gaia Cash, the more people who are totally "Anti-Gaia Cash" or whatever might be able to become more enlightened & accepting of Gaia Cash buyers.
On the flip side, if you've never purchased Gaia Cash, I'd also really like to hear your reason(s) as to why you never have purchased it before.
Me, personally, I've purchased Gaia Cash maybe like... 4 or so times before? No less than 3, & no more than 5, I know that for sure. I don't purchase Gaia Cash anymore at all on principal, 'cause I feel like Gaia's taken that whole Gaia Cash thing to a level at which it's no longer about simply upping their revenue some, but more like selling out & doing whatever they can to afford a new car & a second house. I think lots of the things they've attached to Gaia Cash is just deplorable.
The main reason why I purchased Gaia Cash the few times I did is because, well, I have the finances to. I wasn't in a situation where I had to choose between Gaia Cash/pixilated items & real life items/needs... I was able to buy Gaia Cash without it changing or influencing at all my ability to spend money on what I'd normally spend money on in real life. &, honestly, I think that if someone has enough money so that they can spend some on a game that's a big hobby of there's without compromising their ability to spend money as they normally would on real life stuff.... Then, well, it's pretty hard to say there's much of anything wrong with that I think.

No, but I've done about 1.5k in worth of offers. Sure, I've wanted to buy it, maybe. But, honestly, 1 penny per G.C.. for items that just go down to items you could get in a few days. nahh.
Gaia makes really shitty items most of the time, and I fully blame Gaia cash for that. I will admit I like some of the items, mainly the expensive a** rare dolls & RIG items, and a few older EI's. But, eh, it's just not worth it.
I knew some guy who bought so many 50 dollar cash cards that they covered his bed like plant cells(rectangular, close together for those of you who don't know) and honestly s**t like that makes you look like you have less of a life than you do, and is a total obsession. I mean, holy hell, he showed me a picture, and his bed was FULLY covered with $50 cash cards for Gaia, you couldn't even see the bed sheets.. That's at least a thousand dollars spent on PIXELS!! But, eh, the funny thing is be probably got banned.(He turned out to be a grody cyber freak that was into vore and tried to cyber with me. xP) But, ********, that's horrible.
Sooo, yeah, Gaia cash that you pay for.. not my thing. Free Gaia cash? Sure.

I used to buy cash pretty regularly, and a couple months ago I signed up for AutoCash. I enjoy Gaia, and one of my favourite parts of the site is the items, and I enjoy collecting them. I don't really have the extra time to dedicate bootygrabbing or playing zomg in order to earn gold, and so I can get some of the items I like from the cash shop. I do also enjoy playing RIGs sometimes, and so that's probably the main thing that I buy when I do spend cash. I'm not incredibly high maintenence, and can spare a little money to spend on Gaia, and so I do.
On the other hand of my own enjoyment, I do also like to contribute back to the site (if you couldn't guess). While many people may have the impression that Gaia is just selling out, and raking in the money, it's not necessarily the case. I like to know that I'm helping to sustain a community that I enjoy spending time in.

Nope. Never did. I mean, it's not really worth it. If I wanted an item, I would save up and try and get as much gold as I can. But I never resorted to gaia cash. Mainly because I'd rather have my money go to something else; something worth it. And if I bought, what, a 50 dollar gaia cash card, I think I'd go broke. I'd rather spend that on clothes and what not rather than just pixels. Pixels are just pixels. They don't influence my life, they're just an escape from the real world. Gaia raise the amount of items so that if you were really obsessed with gaia, you'd purchase gaia cash and they would profit. All they ever think about is money, money, money.
Well, if it was freee gaia cash, I'd so go for it. It's free. Who wouldn't?
I would never buy gaia cash, ever. In my whole entire life. It's just a waste of my money.

I'm not afraid to say that yes, I have purchases Gaia Cash on more than a few occasions.
I use to buy it a lot more often than I do now, but I've probably spent a good $150 total.
-mind you that's since '06, and some of it was via PayPal and not Cash Cards-
Gaia is one of my favorite websites, and I spend a good bit of time on it when given the opportunity. I see nothing wrong with helping to support the website that has introduced me to so many kind people, and that manages to keep me entertained at least seven hours a week.

I don't buy cash. Not because I'm morally opposed or anything, but because I seriously dom't have the money. It does upset me that a lot of the best items are only avalible through cash that i don't have and can't get. I know that I could buy them on the market place but that is more difficult, I just wish i had the short cut a lot of other people have. It irritates me, but I'll get over it or stop playing.

I can honestly say that I have never purchased GC. I have, however, utilized the free cash offers many times. *nods*
The main reason why I've never purchased Gaia Cash is simply because I don't have the money. I'm just a teenager living with her parents who is too young to get a job, aside from being a student in high school. Once I get a job, though, I can't say whether I would purchase GC or not. I don't know, that's still a year or two down the road. But I don't see a problem with buying it, whether your motives are to support a thriving community while getting pretty pixels out of it, or some other reason. The thing I have a problem with is when people buy it who don't have the extra funds. But that's already been covered in this thread. ^^;

I have to agree with what other's have said; I wouldn't buy Gaia Cash since I see it as a waste of my money. There are things in life I need more than spending money on Gaia. I have supported them by clicking on the advertisement which would give money back to them, but I go no further. I go to college full time, I work full time, and I am saving up for my wedding. Sure I could put $20 here or $10 there but do you know what else I could get for that? A tank of gas, or a half tank. Groceries for my home since the economy is rough and my fiancé lost his job. Or I could use it for a better purpose like a charity...but honestly, I'd rather think about myself and well-being before donating to a community website. I'm hardly here as it is; and the offers for Gaia Cash is a fine way to get items you'd like.

indeed, i have bought gaia cash before, only once. it was rather recently, for christmas actually. i bought it because i was just sick of being poor... i don't think it's a very good reason, but it's the only excuse i can come up with for purchasing such a thing.

No...I don't even by things you need to live unless I absolutely NEED them. I even have clothes that are falling apart at the moment. Granted, I am beyond poor at the moment. Even if I had all the money in the world...I'd still not buy gaia cash. I can survive without it. On the other hand, I would probably buy some things that aren't really needed but they do provide some help in my life...like video games. I would never need gaia cash to indirectly help me in some importantish kind of way so I would never buy it. The things I get from gaia for free is all I need...^_^

Well, I live in Asia, where there is no Gaia Cash at all, But I asked my Aunt who lives in the U.S. in 2008 to buy me, well, for me I guess its worth it, since I really needed Gaia money, but it really depends on your choice, if you think that Gaia cash is pointless since it will only give you pixelized items, but make sure you know that Gaia Cash is FAIR, unlike people who unfairly get gold, like selling items for unreasonable prices. anyways I might or might not get Gaia Cash in the future, depends on my choice biggrin
