But I have been struggling with college (wtf, you have to study for this s**t?) and for a brief time, unemployment. I have a job now, and as a result of that leveling out, am now having issues getting my two-year degree from school.

I've also gotten a dog. His name is Crybaby.

Does he cry like a baby? >3>

College is going awesome for me! I'm getting over 80% in all my classes, and a few of my classes I don't need to study for because they made the exam based off of activities we did. It's still stressful as I want to do as best as I can. I have to say I never thought I would strive so badly for a 90% I always thought "As long as I get 70's I'm happy" not anymore. It's kinda nice.

@ Jaft: Oh, does he ever. He's spoiled like one too.

@ Tae: I was a regular for like a year or so; we chatted. Yeah, unemployment was the suck, I have to say I'm glad to be working again. And thanks, I love my puppy-
. 8:3

@ Kaz: Yeah, I've been backtracking and grade-forgiveness-ing like a mother and I'm still having paperwork issues atop that. I've never had a semester where there wasn't some bs hold put on my account for some erroneous reason. 9.9

@ GRM: I'm so glad you're liking it! College can be great and sometimes when you get the right teacher, it's like your brain absorbs everything they say without issue. Some others, though, it feels like every word I read is sandpaper. XD

Is your dog played by Johnny Depp?
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 9:39 am
He has big, soft brown eyes like Johnny Depp. biggrin

I love that movie, and am now sincerely annoyed that I don't own it.

I have one class that is like sandpaper, it's foundations of Early childhood education, and it's all theory and people who have influenced the field. I suck with people and what they did. It's basically a modern history class for us. At least I'm almost done the semester! I have another teacher who really can't teach that well, she basically tells us to "read this" and "do this", again almost done!

Yeah, I'm really bad at memorizing who did what. I know the important milestones in the field, but knowing when they happened and who did them kills me. XD I much prefer reading and filling things out because the information's right in front of me.

Anyway, good luck!

Totally in that boat with college and a new puppy.

Good to know you're still alive, Steph. We've missed you. 3nodding

I'm not in the exact same boat... just substitute the word "college" for "Navy" and the word "study" for the phrase "be out at sea for months at a time".

@ Sweet: Crybaby ends up getting called "Bibbles" and "Mister Baby" because he likes to a) act like a baby or b) act like he runs the place. XD

@ Pisces: The exact same... boat. :shot: XD
