You know Idfection brings up a good point.
You all need to stop trying to brag about thinking that you are the "Alpha Male/Female" in Smash.
You're not the best, someone will always be better than you, and until you've played every single person who plays Smash, you can't say you're the best.
Don't get me wrong, of course some players are better than other, and there is nothing wrong with letting people know about how good you are.
Just don't give me this bullshit that no one can beat you in Smash.
Don't base if off by who you've played in your city/state/country.
It's a big world out there people, with even bigger players.
Hell, I've had my share of victories and my share of defeats, but I'm not going to bullshit you and say I'm the "best".
This is just Shiroi's two cents.

Actually, to further along the local arguement, I have twice been to a large annual Melee convention in the Dallas, TX area, both of which I placed first in... However, when I found a smaller, local convention in a college in my area, I was owned by over half of the competitors. Just goes to show, doesn't matter how large the convention, how large the city, there are a lot of better people out there. Probably a lot of them are in this guild, too... So I'd watch what you say... wink
...Good to know I'm not the only person who sees the mass amount of narcissism in here...

i realized i wasnt the best last weekend when i lost, not just lost, but one of those morale crushing losses, the ones that make u rethink everything u ever did kinda lost

can i say that i'm the best of all my relatives? because i really am, i always beat them, and stuff. but yeah i agree that i'm not the best, because a have a friend who sometimes beats me.
