Most people have a first anime that they ever watched that really got them into the whole thing. What was yours?
Mine was Sailor Moon. I was a teenage girl when I saw it. I remember thinking "This seems very altered..." So I googled it & found out that it was. Now I have the whole series on DVD in Japanese with English subtitles. It's sooo much better than the English dubbed.

I can't remember which was my first anime exactly, but one of the most memorable that got me aware of it somehow is the original Macross series. Although as a kid, I remembered it as 'Robotech' (the US name) rather than its true Japanese title.
