A human/ vampire rp based on a book by lyndsay sands.
Maria kaplinsky is a young doctor working the night shift at a busy hospital in new york city. She loves working as a doctor even if she hates the fact that she is currently eorking in the morgue. One night when she is about to examine a corpse that has been brought into the hospital she see's it's hand twitch and freezes. How can a burnt and shrivelled corpse move? She is thinking of a reason for it when a man burst's through the door shouting about the corpse being a vampire. Without thinking she gets in the way of the man as he's about to decapitate the corpse with an axe, taking the axe in her shoulder. When the corpe wakes up, revived and healed because of her blood, will he leave her to die? Or will he save her at the risk of his own happiness?

Personaility: maria is a kind, caring and friendly person. She can be quite shy around people she doesn't know.
Bio: Maria lost her parents at a very early age and ended up living with her grandmother. She workes the night shift in the morgue at the hospital near her home.

maria groaned as the axe hit her shoulder with a thump. The attacker looked at her as he pulled the axe away before turning and running from the room. She turned back towards the corpse her eyesight darkening as blood flowed from the wound, feeling dizzy she collapsed forwards onto the body on the table, the blood flowing from her shoulder into his mouth and over the rest of his body.she moaned again as she went limp the upperhalf of her body covering his face and chest.

Grey's mind slowly blinked into existence, he tasted blood and felt it run over his body, last thing he remembered was being hunted. Slowly and with some effort he opened his eyes his body feeling like it woke from a deep sleep, he felt a weight on his body, as he raised himself he barely caught a girl with a deep bleeding gash in her shoulder. He had started to feel better and felt like he owed the girl. Standing he put her on the table, his strength slowly returning as his body soaked in the blood that covered him, ripping some clothe he found and tied it to the wound tightly then slapped her face softly trying to wake her.

Maria moaned and opened her eyes for a moment when he slapped her face before closing them again, her face was pale her breathing shallow. It was obvious she had lost quite a lot of blood from the wound.

Grey looked at the blood soaked rag he used to tie the wound, he was back to normal by now and his strength was back. Looking around he decided he couldn't very well leave her so he decided to stay with her, finding a sink he got another strip of cloth wetting it he returned to her he wiped her face with the cold water, clearing away blood and hoping it would help somehow, his eyes were still red or else he would go get help. Slowly he put his head to her chest listening to her heart beat, her shallow breath worried him " Please be ok.." he said to himself

maria remained unresponsive as her heart began to slow, her breathing staying just as shallow as before. the wound on her shoulder had stopped bleeding as much she had lost so much blood.

Grey panicked as he heard her heart slow, he decided he would have to do something desperate but he could not give her his blood since he was a vampire. Walking around he some packs of blood and was glad he had somewhat of medical training, finding an iv he walked back too her, he knew her blood type so he rigged it to where blood from the pack would be transferred to her body. After finishing he sat next to her as the blood went into her body hoping it would work he got some alcohol and other disinfectants and began to clean her wound carefully

Maria's breathing began to grow stronger as the blood entered her body, her heart beat growing stronger. she just wanted to leave, she didn't want to fight the pain anymore, but after a few minutes her face bagan to regain it's color. her eyelids fluttered open as she regained consciousness for a moment before closing again. .

Grey smiled hearing her breathing get better and saw her eyes flutter open " Are you awake now?" he asked softly as he stood over her, he wished to talk to her and thank her, also apologize for her getting hurt though he was not sure how. He put his hand on her chest feeling her heartbeat getting stronger he smiled bigger his red eyes glinting with joy.

Maria's eyes opened again, where am i?" she murmurmed when she saw someone looking at her, her voice was hoarse. she blinked a few times before the memories of what happened came back to her and she gasped. .

Grey was startled when she gasped " your at a hospital, my name is Grey, you were bleeding badly so i had to help you.." he said slowly trying not to startle her more than she already was, he walked to the sink and found something clean to hold water in, he returned handing her the container with the water " please drink "

maria took it off him, her hands were shaking slightly as she took it off him spilling some of the water onto herself. She took a sip before looking at him again "he was attacking you. i don't know how he hit me." she murmured looking towards the door .

Grey looked at the door behind him frowning, the man must have known he was not truly dead and she must of moved in front of the weapon. Looking back to her he smiled and bowed formally " My name is Grey, and i owe you my life, i am yours to do with as you please." those words did not sound right coming from him but he said them anyway "I am sorry that you were almost killed because of me.."
