No response
The phone ringing with no response was the same melody lately, like crazy trying to contact Roy, and the others, but a terrible feeling was burning inside her, closed the phone with some violence, Hayate issued a shriek of fright, but the frustration was what flowed from her, she looked at the dog, and sighed "I am so sorry Hayate..." whispered " you are not the only one suffering my anger...I am sorry "whispered softly hugging him, while sitting in a chair, extended her arms toward the dog, to invite to jump in her legs, to embrace him strong.
And so she did, holding her only friend and partner,strong, like fearing to lose him too.
What if Roy was dead?....
What if the others were dead?
What if?.....
In middle of her tears her cooper eyes fixed in her magnum that was on the table, charged...with new bullets...waiting like a fair judge to dictate the veredict. Everything was surreal, she, thinking in that kind of stupidity...Looked the phone and sighed, letting Hayate stands in the floor, she stood up and walked towards the table, picking up her gun, looked at it, and closing her eyes, dryed the tears, and opening her eyes again, like taking strenght to keep going, left the gun over the table again, and walked to the phone, she had to apolgize with Hughes, Maes Hughes tryed to say hi and she almost ignored him, but the idea of, talk with him...
The most near thing to Roy....
dialed the number, trying to call....

"Ah!!" whispered softly before start with what ever she wanted to tell him, smiled hearing that he was there " Sir..." said solemnly " I wanted to apologize for what happened this afternoon " while she sat in a chair opening a can of food for Hayate " I have been off myself lately, you know sir....for the colonel absence..." answered softly " is there everything alright there?, Gracia and Elysia are fine? " while filling Hayate´s plate with care, and laying it on the floor, she sighed deeply tired, looking now to the dog eating.

She smiled when she heard Elysia´s voice but after that, Maes voice was the worse tone she have heard never, in a low whisper asked softly "Wh..What?... captive??!!..." she stood up suddenly " what makes you think that?, where ?....how?...." said softly, but then, shaked her head and sighed " I am sorry....but....you think it is possible?, why anybody have come to look for me....or you...?"
Her voice was trembling, and nervious was holding the phone against her ear strong, at the point of feel some pain in her hand.

Riza, stood up and dressed up, and got Hayate ready, charged both of her guns and hid them taking her keys, and took to the car her rifle, and getting ready, left her apartment with Hayate, Maes voice was totally worried, so she couldnt leave him alone, and drove for a while parking away, walked in silence, she wasnt going to leave him alone " Hayate...." said, the dog, obediently stepped forward, as soon he saw soldiers, stopped, and hid, same as Riza, that waited for Maes Hughes to show off, when he did...she just made a soft noice from her hidding place, a near dark alley, was obvious that the soldiers would let know who ever was behind the others disappearance, about them, that was already to dangerous. " Sir....! " whispered.

Sighed feeling his warm, the only known presence since...who knows " that is what is worrying me....too easy " whispered, softly, and placed her rifle by her side, Hayate alert looking to both sides, she was talking in a soft tone, while checking her guns safe looked to Hughes " this afternoon when you saw me, I was walking out of the HQ...I got to find Shieska adress, seems that she left at the request of an anonymous source directly...by phone..that unknown person knew what, was going on on here, so...if we could get the phone records, maybe...we could track down the source of the info " whispered " what if the source is one of our missing units? " looked to Maes with her cooper eyes serious " I havent heard from my grandfather either..."

She couldnt do anything, finished charging her rifle and looked to Maes, worried " Are you alright??!, we need to check that wound quick as soon as we are near the nursing" then looked to the soldier, sighed deeply " I have always wondered, where do you learned to fight that way..its a really rare way to do so...." whispered, holding strong her weapon, leaving the rifle hanging on her back " Hayate!.." said, and the dog, stood next to her, ready,with his ears up, Riza looked around the corner, and saw the national Library " we have to move as fast as we can...and silent ASAP the soldiers on the way if we find them...I know a road that Shieska told about to the colonel..."

She nodded, while, tucking in-between some bushes, she looked back, to Maes, she frowned, that wound needed to be treated, but that was not the time, slowly moved between the bushes " We are going to get in to the HQ....this way will take us, to the records offices.." whispered softly while hiding against a wall near the garbage next to the building " Hayate...push the wood door" whispered and the dog, moved inside a hole, and after a few minutes, a medium sized hole opened " good boy... " smiled " Shieska san talked to me about this.." getting inside, the dark hole, once she closed it again, she took out some matches, and lit one, revealing, books, and bookshelves " this is the....storehouse of old books " I came with Roy when I was teaching him....the fire alchemy.." slowly walking in silence " this will guide us to the main library hall...we just have to get out for the back door, and we will be in the iron gate to the headquarters..." the sound of their steps made a soft echo " that if everything goes ri...." a noise from behind a bookshelve, made her stop, rising her gun pointing, with the match up, to be able to see, the noise was like the noise someone do, when is crawling on the floor of wood.
So Riza stood firm and slowly, step by step started to move toward the noise in silence, with the seconds, she could see a shadow, looked Maes Hughes making him a sign, letting him know that she saw something, turned back to what ever the thing was, and slowly, she could see the corner, fabric...a feet, and in less than two seconds " DONT MOVE A STEP " said with her voice firm, looking at the person with a coat.

The person just rised the hands, when a known Rebecca´s voice sounded
" easy Riza...its me..."
"Rebecca??...." asked lowering her gun slowly, when the person turned, revealing the black haired girl, that was under Grumman´s command, its suppose that she had to be with him, if Rebecca was there...it means she didnt knew where Grumman was, the black haired turned completely.
"I didnt knew that other people appart of me knew this way to get to the records office..." whispered " yaho colonel lt..Hughes!....Im glad to see that Im not the only one in this situation...."
