[Competition] House of (Magic) Cards!

Here's a novel idea for all you arty types and Magic: The Gathering fans. Making your own cards!

I've gone and downloaded Magic Set Editor and started making my own cards, but the more I make, the more I realise I'm not going to be able to do the art for all these cards on my own so I figured the ATG would be the best place to go to. And just so there's some incentive, each winner will receive a print of their card and 500 gold!

Card Artwork
For this competition, I will post up the name and stats of the card in question (probably in the form of a JPG from Magic Set Editor) and your task is to come up with suitably zany and crazy artwork for it. The winner will receive 500 gold, their art on the card and their name as illustrator as well as a print of the card if they so desire.

Card Ideas
For this competition, unleash the inner strategist. Come up with mad and outlandish cards that would never fit in with the real Magic: The Gathering card game. Again, the winner will receive 500 gold and a print of their card if they so desire.

Rules
Unfortunately, some rules must be put in place, so here they are (don't worry, it's nothing like sacrificing your firstborn). I don't expect any breaches of the first two from you guys, but it's a just-in-case thing.
1. Artwork must be original - All art must be of your own hand, nothing from the internet at all.
2. Card ideas must be original - Obviously, you can't go and rename an official magic card.
3. Card ideas must fit into the theme - See below for theme.

Theme
Picture a world where every mythology known to man has been smooshed together into one. A world where you don't just get Vikings, you get Viking Tomatoes! Your card ideas and artwork must adhere to the following thematic rules:
A. Food based - This isn't absolutely important, but it's preferable. Things are more funny when you make them anthropomorphic eggplants or carrots.
B. Sillyness - This is absolutely essential. Everything must be silly, the entire idea of it must make you giggle. The execution of it must make you laugh. No matter what it is, it's got to be silly.
C. If you want to throw some other ideas in, like music or science, it must be suitably silly to fit in with the rest of the cards that are being thrown around.


The first card for you to work on the artwork for is: Carrot Cannon!

I believe it was, he was talking about it in the IRC at the time. I helped him a bit on the wording of his Plainswalker too. 4laugh I'm probably going to help everyone make the best card that can be when they post it here xd

After looking through the cards that Bass had set up already I was struck by inspiration yet again ^_^
