The world of Verdana is composed of 2 very, very large continents, one of them very technological, the other... well, the other is feared. You see, people go INTO the continent in search of riches, glory, etc and never come back, but they go there for a reason: The civilized continent is contantly in a state of war, and most able warriors flee the continent so they're not conscripted into the military.
There are rumours about the unnamed, unknown continent: some say terrible beasts lurk amidst it's lands, others say the land itself is a massive sleeping monster, others say that it kills warriors looking to shed blood on it's lands. Whatever the case, only the bravest and most curious sail forth, wanting to prove themselves and mayhaps find a less bloodied home.
So warriors, adventurers, scholars, archaeologists: the land is ready to be explored. Are you up to the challenge?

Rolling some dice. How I will do it, is I will ignore 1's as they come up. So if I get, say:
4, 5, 4, 5, 1, 2, 6, 1, 3, 3, 2, 6
My first roll is 45452, my second roll is 6,3,3,2,6. Et cetra, et cetra.

Joe-dude, you can definitely play the Drow, just not evil, for now. I'm new @ DMing, so I'll take a backseat when it comes to evil alignments. Sorry. You can still play it, if you'd like, just not evil. Also, can you PM me the description of the feat, real quick?
Arc, I read MP2's Martial Practices chapter repeatedly and looked @ the Heroic feats, and saw no feat for Martial Practices, plus a sidenote in the Feats area says how a Martial player should take Ritual Caster do to Out-Of-battle stuff, so I'm guessing Martial classes use Ritual Caster for Martial Practices, since they work the same anyways. Also, technology is... well, magitech and clock/steampunk, yes. Just unreliable, it's as if they entered a medieval technological revolution, and they're inventing stuff up their wazoo, just clumsily. About the only reliable stuff are those made by Dwarves and Gnomes.
Also, racial norms are out the window on many races. For one, evil races aren't quite evil in this setting, they're bumped up to Unaligned. So Duergar ain't evil, just a side effect of being down there for millenia, same with Drow.
Also, be warned: I plan to make battles challenging biggrin
