So everyone has their own check list. They help out so much and have the generic stuff like money, food, costumes, and shower stuff. But what other random things that you have on your list? Or you want to share with other people?
Also I may put your Idea in a master list that I am typing up.
My second post will be filled with your ideas! And some of my own.

The Random Add on
List!
-Condoms(I am not lying, there are some people that are single and do a one time hook up. Use them!)
-Crossplayers Female- Ace wrap or whatever you use to flatten chest
-Crossplayer Male- Sports tape

This is my Usual Checklist from my dA, but as for random things, it would have to be a screwdriver, hammer, duct tape, a broom, and those car vacuums...

I ALWAYS have a sewing kit on my person at all times during Con's. It includes thread(black, white and clear), scissors, needles, tape and glue. You never know when a part of your costume is gonna fall off.

Pocky and Spearmint gum( both the perfect icebreakers)
Coloring books and crayons. An under appreciated simple pleasure perfect for waiting for a line to start up.
An electrical burner and a small pot, for simple cooking in the room.
Alcohol swabs, since neosporin can be squished open and a whole bottle of rubbing alcohol looks nefarious.
Clothes pins. I'm not great with sewing by hand, but I can always help out other cosplayers with a quick fix.
Sketch pad. An anime convention is where some of my best inspiration comes from.

-Repair Kit (thread, needle, hot glue gun, glue sticks, safety pins)
-Shorts and tank to go under my cosplay.
-Sketchbook/Notebooks
-Gatorade (I can drink it warm, good if the hotel room has no fridge)
-emergency cash
-Film for my camera
-Fabreeze

Tiny sewing kit
Febreeze
Lysol (I got pink eye from the hotel's pillow last year)
pocket sized hand sanitizer
DS lite
Snacks
Tyed stick (you know, the little thing of Tyed that gets stains out)
Some kind of hand held game would come in handy especially if you're at the con early and it hasn't started yet.
Snacks definitely come in handy if you're a hypoglycemic like me. Well, this is my random list.

A small basic sewing kit definately!
A Nintendo DS or PSP. DS's are great for meeting new people! wink
Glowsticks (if there is a dance)
Hand sanitizer! Not everyone at the con will be as clean as you. 3nodding

Basically the usual stuff, clothes,cosplay etc. Deodarant, toothbrush, etc.
Yugioh cards (great convo. starter and has gotten me a few friends)
A big snack bag (its a big sports bag)
The other stuff like sewing kit and other "stuff" is brought by my friends

I always buy a big case of bottled water for me and my friends.
Too many times have I seen people get sick/dehydrated at cons because they don't bring along any food or water with them.
Plus, bottled water at conventions is usually WAY more expensive. Do yourself a favor and get a big pack at the grocery store. You'll end up saving money in the end.

Ok my checklist is probably different cause I don't stay in hotels cause the conventions are within driving distance but here goes
Cosplay
Food (Only needed for Mini Animania cause there is no proper food)
Water (I get heat exhaustion easily so if it is really hot I can pass out)
Address book & Pen (To get people's email and phone number)
Money (To buy food/items from stalls)
My mum's mobile phone (I don't have a mobile phone so I use my mum's to tell my parents when to pick me up)
Camera (One that works)
Yeah thats it I think
