Did you know that peeing in the shower can save 1157 gallons of water a year?

I think that's assuming that every time someone pees, they flush
A good way to save water is by eating less/no meat and buying used, organic or hemp clothes. The commercial cotton and meat industries both use stupid amounts of water.

^ What they said. Also I could suggest veganism as building on the no meat thing to save water, because dairy/veal cows and hens need to drink as well, and if anything gets washed in those "farms" they'll be bound to use a ton of water.
As a side note, where would you FIND hemp clothes? And is it warm/soft(or can it be made soft)? If it is, i wants a hemp jacket. biggrin

For sure (I'm actually vegan myself). Most of the water used is actually due to the crops being produced for the purpose of meat production (most of the agricultural land in the US is used for this purpose). But even so a lot of water becomes polluted because of that whole industry. It's used directly and also pesticides, artificial hormones, etc. go into the aquifers. It's just not good.
Buuut it depends. Where I live there are 3 places close to me that sell them (it's awesome, I live around lots of lovely hippies). You could always look around, maybe in a phone book. But if you can't find them in a shop you can always order (makes sense ecologically too). And yeah, totally! All my bras are hemp, and they're super comfy. Soy, bamboo and organic cotton are all good too. Should I post some links?

I have switched my bathroom into an indoor outhouse, with the use of eco friendly air fresheners and constant changing of the bucket i have saved water, and money from my sewage bills plus hand sanitizer instead of sinks and liquid soap
