Flash flooding. Yesterday was PERFECT weather. Not a cloud in the sky. Now this is the state of the sky:  I'm right in the middle there. Close up:  So this is the sight I woke up to, and proceeded to freak out because I have no insurance on my car (the white one just outside the fence):   So I managed to find a higher place to leave it for now, until the rain stops and the water goes away. This was the difference about 30 minutes later:  I'm so over the tropics.

Wow...its been raining down here for a couple of days xP
But only a little bit of flooding (my house always floods )
Nothing that bad.

It's come out of nowhere for us D: I was really lucky I woke up when I did. The last big flood that happened here, happened in the middle of the night, so by the time people woke up it was too late, all their cars were full of water. Mine was already leaking in a decent amount, but not enough to ruin my car.

It floods here sometimes but luckily I live on top of a small hill razz
I see from the photo's that everyone else swiftly moved their cars out of harms way to xd

They'd all already started leaking water. It's mostly gone down now, looking at it, it's so bizarre to see that it actually flooded. Where I live is so flat. It's hard to comprehend that water can actually be held there to that extent. Also, within just an hour, the record for the monthly rainfall for September had been broken. Now everything smells musty ._. My car is going to reek tomorrow.

But yeah, that looks very useless for driving a car around in. XD Guess you were lucky to wake up when you did.

Well we always joke about my car being a boat... But I don't think it would fair too well if I actually tried to use it as one xD
The storms have let up now, it's just a shower every now and then. On the plus side, everything is nice and green now.

I don't think I've seen that much rain in my life.
Then again, in this area, the weather has too many mood swings to stay the same long enough to have that effect.

Are you getting all the on and off rain we are getting hammered with for the last two weeks??
It SUCKS...i was fine for like 3 days this week and as soon as the weekend came IT WAS RAINING NON STOP!!!

It SUCKS...i was fine for like 3 days this week and as soon as the weekend came IT WAS RAINING NON STOP!!! Nope, we've only had a few showers every now and then. Welcome to what it's been like for me 75% of this year : P Apparently north QLD is forecast for the worst wet season ever next year... A minimum of 5 cyclones, wtf?
