So for the away game the other day, our band had 2 buses. except, we had to share with cheerleaders. They took up almost the entire first bus, leaving the woodwinds to squeeze 3 to a seat in the back cause they werent curteous enough to a) sit 2 to a seat(a few of them were 1 to a seat) b) let us sit next to them.
Part 2:
Band has silent bus rides to games and festivals. We really like it, because its a time to think and focus on whats comign up when we get to our destination. Normally it can take us as logn as half an horu to focus, but with these silent bus rides, we are alreadyf ocused and can get down to buisness.
well, the heerleaders refused to respect this ruel, and were yellin loudly, singing, and booty dancing in our faces. They kept swearing, and i mean a lot, and singing inappropriate songs and doing inapropriate dances.
Even after about 5 yellings at by our music director.
Part 3(after the game):
TOTAL GUILT TRIP!
We all gathered on the bus,a nd they all realized for apparently the first time that we were not allowed to remove our uniforms durign or after the game until we got back to school.
A random cheerleader: "Its so hot! I feel really bad for you guys. Those uniforms look like they can cause you to spontaneously combust!"
Manny(a cclarient player): what is spontaneous combust?
Cheerleader: Not sure...I heard it on tv.
Me: -_-
Cheerleader: Why dont you take those off?
Me: not allowed to. They'll get messed up.
Cheerleader: wow...
Different cheerleader: And you guys have to be quiet all the way to games?
Alto section leader: Yeah. tradition.
cheerleader 2: Woah. Now if eel bad about goofing off on the way here...
Frist cheerleader: Well be better enxt time.
I'll believ eit when i see itXD
Anyone else had similar problems/experiences?

wow that could never happen to us cause
a) we cant afford to attend away games and
b) we only have like 7 cheerleader plus
c) we're all one family,we even have a cheer that incoorperates the cheerleaders& the band ^_^

We were actually nto gonna go to away games, but then our admin decided they loved the band haha.
Our enw principle payed a few visits to band camp and fell in love with us cause we were workign so hard even though we are directorless. So he said the school will pay for all our away games.
We have 30+ cheerleaders.
Our cheerleaders haev a rule that we canot interupt their cheers with playign or different cheers. We can join them, but not do a different one.
They can interupt us whenever they liek thoguh. If we start a cheer, they start a nw one and yell at us cause orus is different. We start playign they start cheerign and tell us to stop-_-

lol we also have to follow that rule to not start a new cheer or anything but are band is full of jerks like me and we play just to be mean and the whole band sometimes stands up in unison and does the cheer with the cheerleadrs XD just to piss them off

Oh cheerleaders.

The only incident we've really had with them was the cheerleading coach wouldn't let us play ANYTHING during the first game. Also, I hate when we're about to play and they start booty-dancing to some inappropriate pop or rap song... x_x
But sometimes we like to get back at them by playing super fast pep tunes, like "Go Big Red". Yaaay! We also enjoy getting up and cheering with them in obnoxious prep voices, and the percussion, saxes, and low brass all like to play along with the cheers (mostly for obnoxious purposes).

That's awesome. Our band has never had a problem with the cheerleaders. BUTTT we also have a really cute boy in drumline that all the cheerleaders fangirl over. >_>
They beg us (that boy) constantly to come over and play drums. That's the only real problem we have, is that they are effing annoying.

We don't have cheerleaders, but a dance team, which is pretty similar anyway. We like them though, and haven't had any problems when traveling on the same bus or staying in the same hotel.
It's the rally committee we don't like, cause they don't do anything. At least the dance team can, ya know, dance. xD

It's the rally committee we don't like, cause they don't do anything. At least the dance team can, ya know, dance. xD I hate the rally committee people, for the most part. Except one, because she's crazy and funny. But the rest are annoying people who are part of the leadership team, yet they have no leadership skills or creativity whatsoever. (This also goes for the newspaper and yearbook people. Ugh.) Though I did enjoy the chance to retaliate against, "WEAR YOUR BEAR NATION T-SHIRTS TO THE FIRST GAME EVERYONE!!!!!" announcement. Our show's about Hell, so I was like, "Yeah? Well I'M gonna wear a shirt with the gates to HELL on it! YEAH!"

That's happened so many times with us.
Ugh, cheerleaders at my school are always like "Oh my gosh, we have to like ride with the Band Nerds on away games? Ugh," or *giggle giggle* -_- They're soo annoying.
Anywhoodles, for one, it's fun to act like a Band Nerd xD
Also it's fun to play along with them 'cause they hate the Band and think they can actually play (or in their case cheer) louder than us.
Lastly, like PerSempreSonoVostro, there's a bunch of cute guys in drumline (props for me 'cause I'm the only girl drummer xD) and they're always giggling and saying "play along!" but they don't give a crap when a non-cute guy or girl plays along -_-
I really hate our cheerleaders . . . they're too preppy

Back in the day our band actually had 9 of the like 30 cheerleaders in it so the band and cheerleaders got along
however now the cheerleaders make fun of us but thats ok most of the rest of the school makes fun of them haha

We're doing Key Poulan's "Inferno di Dante" (Italian drum corps MilleniuM's 2008 show), but even though my director was trying to ease away from the idea of Hell, it's still incorporated. xD

We have like 40 cheerleaders... and half of them are ridiculously annoying, but the other half are really cool. The band and the good half love each other ^^ there are even two really devoted people who fit both band AND cheer into their schedule.

We have one of those. she did drumline last eyar, but this is her first year of cheer. She gets the joy of beign the only pit person in our bandXD

Wow, that really sucks. :
We don't share a bus with our Cheerleaders. Plus, they're pretty nice to us. So I don't think they would even think about doing any of that stuff even if we did share.
