Nicole drove to the school for an early practice for gymnastics. The school was closed, but it was used for gymnastics every other day. Nicole went every single day because nobody was around and if she hurt herself, nobody would see her heal. Nicole went into the locker rooms and got into her uniform then went out into the rec area and stretched our for warm ups.

Marcus tilted his head, stretching his legs in a split; he wasn't a gymnast himself, though he was flexible and agile. He looked up in time to notice Nicole coming from the locker room; he wore a deep blue pair of shorts that fell to his knees with a black tank top.

Nicole looked up and spotted Marcus. "Oh! Hello Marcus" Nicole said slightly shocked. "I didn't expect to see anybody else here..." Nicole said lightly and shrugged. She was just going to have to be careful again today. Nicole was in a traditional gymnastics uniform that was blue with a white trim.

Marcus looked up with a half smile. "Honestly, I didn't expect anyone else to show up, but then, I've never been good at guessing odds," he said quietly. He bent one leg as he shifted his weight, balancing on the ball of one foot while holding just the toes of his other foot on the floor before drawing it in close to his body and standing. "I didn't know you were a gymnast, Nicole," he said thoughtfully. He rarely judged others as a choice and habit.

"Is anybody good at guessing the odds?" Nicole says setting down her duffel bag and puts her hair back into a pony tail. "Your very good, why don't you try out for the gymnastics team Marcus?" Nicole says and begins to stretch out. "Well... it actually took me forever to let my parents say yes..." Nicole shrugs lightly.

Marcus coughed momentarily. "I'm not that good, and I'm about as agile as a monkey that's afraid of heights," he said softly in a self-depreciating way. "Besides, I wouldn't be able to remember a single routine and the last time I tried doing a simple handspring I nearly landed on my head," he said softly. He'd actually landed hard on his upper chest, but if he hadn't twisted his hips at the last moment, he would have landed square on the back of his head. He still had a dark bluish purple bruise on the upper left side of his chest, which fortunately for him was hidden by the tank top. He winced slightly as he took a deep breath, his chest aching a little bit from the mistimed landing he'd had the previous afternoon.

Nicole laughed and nodded her head. "Well... as long as your remember the elements it doesn't matter about the routine." Nicole shrugs then her face turned more serious. "Can I see it?" Nicole asked. She was going to try and heal it as secretly as she could.

Marcus blinked. "See what?" he said in slight confusion. He wasn't that sure what she was talking about at the moment. "It's nothing but a bruise," he said wryly. One that covers half of my chest, he thought in embarrassment.

"The bruise...." Nicole said quickly. She wanted to see it so she could possibly heal it. Nicole finished stretching and walked over to him. She wanted to try and heal it as discreetly as possible if she could. "Can I see your bruise?" Nicole asked again looking at him.

Marcus sighed softly. I don't know what she's up to, but... oh, well, he thought. he pulled off the tank top to reveal the purple-blue bruise that went from his left collarbone over his shoulder to stop from the second rib from the bottom on the left side.

Nicole shook her head, and she began to reach out a hand but stopped at looked at him. "Do you mind?" Nicole asked him quickly looked at the bruise. Wow he banged himself up bad.... Nicole thought to herself. She wanted to help him because it was in her nature to help people who were hurt, it was almost a urge/habit she had.

Marcus nodded slightly. He wasn't sure why he didn't mind Nicole doing this; to him, it didn't feel strange at all, which to him was odd. I've seen her around school and I know her a little bit, but why I feel so at ease around her, I have no idea; I have the strongest urge just to do something that would make her smile, he thought.

Nicole's eyes seemed to have flashed quickly when she touched his bruise. She did her healing abilities then quickly turned away. "Wow... you really banged yourself up..." Nicole said shaking her head. The bruise was still there but to her it already began to look lighter. I should tell him... no! I can't tell anybody... but... i don't know... let this play out! Nicole thought to herself having an argument with her mind.

Marcus tilted his head thoughtfully. "Something's bothering you," he said softly. His tone was quiet and thoughtful, but he didn't plan on pressuring her into telling something she didn't want to tell.
