History: Drafted during the Ishball war Peirce worked along side Sara and Uri Rockbell in a mobile hospital run by the army, he worked with them until the the hospitals last bug out where Uri and Sara stayed behind to watch over patients that were too unstable to be moved. Peirce left them reluctantly knowing that the surgical unit could not be maintained if they were short three Doctors. The death of the Rockbell's hit him hard and after the war he left Amestris after learning about Xing's study of alchemy for medical purposes. And moved to the Xing with his father to learn everything he could about alkahestry. He been in Xing studying alkahestry from 1909 to the current year 1917 and has mastered almost every aspect of the science of alkahestry.

personality: Peirce is a bit of a Philanderer and a known womanizer preferring to avoid making a serous commitment, the doctor's somewhat sarcastic excuse being that he was married to his work and too cheep to buy a ring. The true fact is that he never found time to settle down , at least not yet anyway, so perhaps being married to his work is a good excuse. That being said he fully believes in the saying, "laughter is the best medicine," He's constantly making jokes and sometimes angering his nurses with a few dirty jokes.
Peirce may be considered a sore loser when it comes to death no doctor ever enjoys losing a patient but not every doctor moves to Xing to learn alkahestry because if it. Where as others may some how come to terms with the reality of death he seems to try his best to avoid having to do so. He tends to be very over protective of his patients and once had lost control of his temper and gotten into a brawl with another man who had struck one of his recovering patients. Both him and the other man ended up getting arrested, its not exactly a story that hes proud to tell. But he did reset the man's jaw free of charge afterward....and that time did so with out the use of his fists.

History: His birth name is Vincent Lockheed but he changed his name after joining the military and disowning what ever family he had at the time. Lock had studied Alchemy from a young age experimenting on small animals during his youth and using alchemy to change the chemical compound of a benign substance to make it deadly and then using alchemy once more to make that substance an air born mist to kill whatever cat or other small animal it was he was testing his alchemy on, the neighbors pets where not off limits to him. When he got older he became good at controlling the amount of poison he would need to kill and had created 11 different poisons by the time he took his alchemy exam the war only further sharpened his skills and introduced him to the philosophers stone and after his dishonorable discharge from the military for killing other officers he became obsessed with creating the stone. And finally found a way to do so by purifying the red water inside the body's of pregnant women. Years passed and Lock and his experiments went unnoticed living in a small eastern farming village with only two police officers he conducted his ensnarement in a vast under ground bunker created through alchemy and today is like a small labyrinth. He still resides in the village making herbal remits that are virtually useless but the villagers by enough to allow him to support himself. He works there alone to prevent anyone from finding the door to his underground lab in the basement cellar.
He dresses in old military chemical suit wile working or if he can help it wile fighting as well, he always has a gas mask on hand or near by and an oxygen tank ready to put on. His excuse to the villagers about the oxygen tank is that he doesn't breath very well. And he doesn't due to an alchemical accident that left his lungs badly scared though treating himself with the stones has improved his condition.
