Um, Gaia is a forum site that also has games. Almost everything you do earns you gold. The amount will vary depending on what it is. With gold, you can buy items for your avatar to wear.
How you "play" depends on what you like to do the most. There are lots of things to do, so explore the site.
This thread is located in the resources forum of this NSTG guild. It describes many of the ways you can make gold on Gaia. And, in doing so, it also explains a lot of the things you can do to play. :}

I would recommed going at the games section of the site,and go try zOMg.

Well... y can do puzzles, card games at the casino, and all of the other games under the game tab of Gaia. The harder of a puzzle you do, the more gold you will earn, or do a easy puzzle a whole bunch of times, and you can earn gold that way.
