My cat Mo had surgery about a week ago to remove a really big hair ball that got stuck. she has a good size cut on her belly (about 6 inches). the the vet used surgical glue to close it up. I'm keeping in eye on it. its not red or inflamed. but it still looks like its healing. so how long does it take a cat to heal?

the reason i asked is that, the vet wants me to get her shaved down to a lion cut. i want to get shaved ASAP so want happened doesn't happen again. but i don't want her to get hurt by having that cut open up when she being groomed.

I'd say give it 2 weeks. My cat got bitten by a fox once and had like a half inch deep bite mark in his neck. It took about 3 weeks without medical help, only with some hydrogen peroxide. But with surgical glue, it might be faster.
