Izumi stood before the gate, it's eyes staring directly at her. Her hands balled up into fists as her skin begins to tingle. 'Why am I here again?' She thought to herself, wondering if there was any way to get out without any kind of exchange.
"Izumi Curtis, you are probably wondering why you are here." Said a voice from the beyond. It echoed through the emptiness.
"I did nothing to come back here!" Izumi's teeth started to grind. She didn't want any tricks done to her. The voice laughed as the door slowly cracked and Izumi backed up a step.
"We need you, we need your knowledge." The black hands emerged from the crack, all reaching towards her head. "We need you..." It repeated.
"No!" Izumi said trying to run into the nothingness. But the further she ran, the faster the hands followed, still trying to reach for her head. "No!" She screamed once more.
"Izumi... Izummmmi... IZUMI!" Came a familiar voice. She felt like she was being poked. Suddenly her eyes snapped opened. Her eyes widened as she peered around the room.
"It was a... dream?" She said out loud as she rubbed her eyes, trying to make them focused.
"It was..." Said the comforting voice, and a large strong hand rested on her shoulder. She looked up to see her adoring husband and she smiled. The smile suddenly turned into a cough, her husband lightly stroking her back to comfort her.
"Sig, I don't know why these dreams..." She paused, trying to forget that horrid place. "They seem so real..." Sig could only nod, and try to comfort his wife.
"Central called." He finally said.
"The dogs of the military? Why?"
"They need your help..." He said looking at her in a concerned matter. "They didn't say what exactly."
"This doesn't sound good." She said with a stern look on her face.
"Then don't go." Sig said, thinking it may be a trap. Izumi sat there, her face showing she was deep in thought. She just stood and walked to her closet, putting on her coat. She walked out of their home, Sig close behind.
"We need to catch the next train." She said to Sig as they headed to the train station. 'This might be why I am having these dreams. Something does not seem right.' She thought to herself.
