Well, after, roughly 10-12 hours of work, That is working from 9:00 PM to Roughly 9:00 AM now, I have essentially finished the base of my new weapons project.
It took me a while to calculate and find exact percentages and ratios, and what the most realistic stats would be, but I did it.
Modeled off of the Killzone Helghast Assault Rifle, almost completely but not entirely, and paying homage to it's roots...
I present to you, the military designated,
M42 "Killzone", colloquially known as the "Helghast Assault Rifle".
The gun is remodeled quite a bit, using
6.5mm grendel caseless rounds, a
25mm x 40mm (1 inch, or 1 caliber) four round grenade launcher, and being electrically fired, instead using electricity to set off the round rather than a conventional hammer, this reducing the over-all size and amount of moving parts present in the weapon (virtually eliminating jams, although increasing the rate of a cook-off, which through a very odd magazine design basically counter acts the cook-off).
