WHY I LIKE THIS GUILD: The Newbie Supporting & Training Guild has always been a main force of awesomeness for Gaia. From training newbs to enter the "society" of Gaia with subtle, alarming success to crew members of NTSG being accepted, premier moderators for the entire site. NTSG "pwns" the guilds with its intuitive moderators, charity, and general decency. I would gladly rate this guild among the guilds: "Why Not?" and "Magical Poll Land" and expect it will have the best longevity of any guild.
The NTSG appeals to me, a late 2004 member, who is wishing to mentor and teach new members how to become someone more than... well, newbs. The NTSG appeals to the noobies who are searching Gaia for a place to gain friends and get in touch with people who actually make a difference on this site.
With premier members such as eaTaiaG, DarkElf27 and more you see faces of Gaia's history completely intertwined in the guild. Gaia's community and heart exists in this guild. I highly recommend this guild to anyone who values it.

WHY I LIKE THIS GUILD: I don't remember how I came across the NSTG in the early spring of 2008, but I do know why I joined. I joined because of the nurturing, helpful, and hospitable environment it offered to each of its members. I truly believe that the every member of the NSTG crew is all doing everything in their power to fulfill the NSTG's mission statement. Our two private subforums - where we keep under-construction projects and in-depth discussions about the guild - exist so that we may be able to address the concerns and needs of both individual members and of the entire guild. The crew often interacts with NSTG members (especially in the Chatterbox and Charities & Minishops subforums) in order to get a feel for what our members like about the guild and for what our members would like to see changed, and have, in the past year, implemented numerous features -- such as a monthly survey/newsletter and a new committee system to organize our crew more efficiently -- in order to improve the experience of our members.
The NSTG community, though very large, is tight-knit and kind with all of its members. Members and crew alike assist one another in their quests or troubles; this allows for a community to be built on a foundation of knowledge and trust. The organization of the guild is logical, clear, and concise; each thread has its specific place. The Charities & Minishops Subforum provides more experienced Gaians with the opportunity to establish charities, lotteries, contests, and minishops of all sorts. In turn, there are plenty of perfectly safe, legitimate, and fun charities, lotteries, and contests that NSTG members can enter in hopes of winning prizes and plenty of minishops where they can purchase goods or services. I know that the NSTG offers its members the option of having their questions answered in the Q&A Subforum, or to be exposed to important information in our Resources Subforum. If a member needs a question answered, they have two subforums that they can turn to: one with already-posted information that they can always refer back to, or one that is checked regularly where one's question will be answered in an extremely timely manner.
The guild staff is always eager to help its members. This is shown in the way that the staff is constantly running charities, lotteries, and contests, donating to help members on their quests, answering their questions, hosting events, and, of course, monitoring the guild at all times to make sure that it is 100% safe. I hate bragging, but for the sake of showing you an example, I will say that I once caught a Terms of Service violator posting phishing/scam links in a thread and had him reported and banned from the guild within fifteen minutes of the time he made his post. We are a dedicated, hardworking, and generous crew, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for any infringements on the safety or security of our members. What makes the NSTG unique is that we're such a big guild - with tons of members - yet we still maintain a tight-knit community where everyone is friendly and kind, and we still work to make the NSTG one of the safest hangouts on Gaia.
In conclusion, the NSTG has done wonders for me. Before I joined the NSTG, matters of professionalism, politeness, and generosity here on Gaia seemed rather ... distant. It wasn't such a big deal to me. When I joined and found myself becoming someone who enjoyed helping newbies by donating my time, energy, or gold to them, I decided that the NSTG was one of my favorite parts of Gaia (yes, it is now my favorite). In around May of 2008, I was invited to become a moderator of the NSTG, and in January of 2010, I was promoted to the status of Vice Captain to help our Captain, KittyKat62, maintain a functional and happy guild. I feel that, the day I received those messages in my inbox, my Gaia life (and truly, my life) was forever changed and influenced by the experiences that would follow. I began to see people here in the guild - and on Gaia Online as a whole - as actual people instead of the stereotypes they supposedly represented. I have learned to be more gentle, patient, and giving to something that I feel passionate about, and I try, every single day, to be a better servant to the guild community so that I can offer to others what the NSTG has offered me. vincent_pimp_kid- I LIKE THIS GUILD!

WHY I LIKE THIS GUILD: Well to start off, The guilds contests are amazing. I love guilds with contests. (:, The people are amazingly nice. I've been around for awhile, but never really posted. WHY I LIKE THIS GUILD: [Anyone is welcome really. I've been on gaia for a while, and I've introduced a lot of my family to this guild. It was the place where my brother learned how to do so many things that I just couldn't explain right, a place for my cousin to get involved, where I have found some people who just are amazing, and inspire me to one day be like that.
