Hey i gots a question. Im saving up to get the spartan set. I got half of it so far but the expensive parts elude me. Would it be better for me to try to get tickets or gold to buy the items?

tickets would be around 600k tickets i think. and gold is roughly the same i think

In my opinion, its all personal preference. Whatever you feel like working toward. Some people find it easy to earn gold, some people find it easy to earn tickets. Whatever gets you there the fastest in your opinion is what you want ^o^

Of course, there might be a more functional way that I'm unaware of. You can probably just buy tickets with gold and get the amount of tickets you need faster, since you can get large quantities of tickets for little amounts of gold in the marketplace.

Awesome thanks guys. Yea it appears the last 4 spartan items im going for are crazy in prices. Right now i have tokens and im tryingt o play towards it with slots (hoping for the lucky halos) but yea. crazzzy lol

Cards usually pays better than slots if you want tickets. I found these simple rules help:
If your total on the first draw is:

• up to 8, HIT
  
• 9-15, DOUBLE DOWN (take one and only one more card)
  
• 16 or above, STAND.

Good luck!

I'd suggest to make it more like 17 or 18, because your opponents won't stand until they have 17.

True, but the advantage to standing on 16 is if the opponent also reaches 16, they MUST take a hit, even if the next card is likely more than a 5, making them bust. But yes, drawing 16 is not a good draw, too easy to bust on a hit, but too low to win the hand as a rule. crying

Hmm, well, with enough effort, you can wind up profiting by playing Cards (not sure about Slots) and tokens (which you buy with gold) to make tickets.

For example, I can spend 1,000g in tokens, earn about 1,000 tickets with those tokens in a game of Cards, and then sell those tickets in the Marketplace for 7,000g - 8,000g altogether. So it is very easy to profit by playing and earning tickets.

The problem is that this process takes time. Are you willing to invest this amount of time into a long-term goal of thousands upon thousands of tickets?

Let's say that you choose, instead, to buy this stuff off the Marketplace instead of working for it in the Casino. Simple. Just do some math to calculate the easiest path: buying the tickets vs. buying the items themselves.

The Spartan Helmet is the most expensive item (in terms of tickets) in your desired set. If you bought the item itself off the Marketplace, it would cost you approximately 170,000g. If you decided to buy the 300,000 tickets it costs to buy the helmet from the Prize & Joy, that would cost you, at the current rate for tickets, 2,700,000g.

I would recommend saving up to buy the items directly off the Marketplace. If you really want the several hundred thousand it takes to get them, it's not hard. Just set up a quest thread, play Booty Grab for 50,000g per day (close to an hour of Booty Grab), sell your tickets in the Marketplace in bundles of 1,000g and make some gold off of that, and you'll get the money in just a few weeks.
