Aibaki is popular. No, he's not a jock, he's definitely not a prep either. He's not popular as in the basic everyone likes his status because of amazing abilities. He's popular in a different way: everyone just likes to be around him. He has a simple smile, and wears ordinary, thrift store clothes, but he's sweet and nice to everyone, as well as being a peacemaker in conflicts. So what happens when the new kid _____ appears. He's dark, wears eyeliner, has his clothes are that of an emo/punk/goth style. frankly, he scares everyone, including Aibaki. Still, he tries to be friendly, as is his nature. How will the dark newcomer handle his small town smile and friendly demeanor?

Aibaki smiled cheerfully at everyone as he got off the bus, happy for the new year. Everyone seemed to be here from last year, besides the seniors who had graduated, but there was talk of a new senior. As Aibaki walked, he saw a boy who had nobody else around him, and didn't look familiar. Aibaki came over and smiled. "Hello, my name's Aibaki. Do you need help finding your homeroom?" He asked politely.

Kuro walked up to his new school. He looked up at with with a bored, neutral expression and sighed heavily. 'Why the heck do I even come here?' He thought to himself as he walked in, watching the other students oogle with him shocked expressions at his clothes. All it took was one look at them and they instantly looked away. He rolled his eyes as he went up to a water fountain and started to drink some for his throat felt dry.

He stood up straight and wiped the little droplets of water on his black sleeve then heard a voice. He looked at the boy who was talking to him and gave him one look over then looked into his eyes with a neutral expression. "Your help is not needed." He said when he was done then placed his backpack on his back and walked away without another word.

Aibaki was surprised by that, since nobody had ever reacted like that towards him. He soon shrugged it off and was back to smiling, going to his homeroom class and taking a seat to endure the long list of 'no cell phones, do your work blah blah blah' that was said every year. When it was time for first period, he went to his statistics class and was surprised to see the boy from before in the same class.

Kuro hated homeroom...It was the same stuff every year. Same rules, regulations, keeping up the good grades and on and on and on. You'd think they would get it in their heads not to tell seniors this since they know it after the three other times they tell them. Kuro sighed and looked out the window the whole time until it was over. When the bell rang, he picked up his bag and went to his first class: statistics. He sat down in a seat near the window and looked out of it until class started.

Aibaki sat beside him, smiling again as the role was called. "Here." He said, raising his hand to show that he was present. his smile was infectious, as everyone else smiled too. Everyone just liked his demeanor... except the new kid. Even now, he could see how everyone looked at him uneasily and shifted uncomfortably in their seats.

Kuro wasn't paying much attention to the class and the teacher called his name three times, almost screeching. After the fifth time, Kuro sighed and raised his hand then let it fall on the desk and resumed looking out the window. "Next time just say here." The teacher said as Kuro gave him a shrug of the shoulders then continued to look out of the window.

Aibaki winced at how loud the teacher got, and everyone shot glares at Kuro, until Aibaki looked at them in a way that helplessly said 'we're all bored, can you blame him?' and they all went back to doodling or half-heartedly listening to the teacher. He always did his best to make sure nothing bad happened, like fights, whenever he could.

Kuro sighed heavily as he listened but continued to stare out the window. When the bell finally rang after an hour, he retrieved his stuff and got up then headed to his next period: English Language.

Aibaki went to his Anatomy class, happily sitting down and getting his syllabus from the teacher as well as a breakdown of how their grades would be affected, rules, consequences, and a request to bring back the syllabus signed by friday. When she finished, the bell rang and it was time for his next class: gym.

Kuro walked to his last class before lunch. It was gym...but Kuro didn't mind. He actually liked gym. It was being in that small locker room that made him feel dreary of going. He hated being in a room that was claustrophobic. 'Just endure it....endure it...' He thought over and over again and he went in and started to change into a black T-shirt and white and black striped shorts.

Aibaki went to one of the stalls for the shy ones, and changed into a large blue t-shirt with matching shorts, smiling as he came out and put his clothes in his locker. Others said help to him as they went out onto the field and the coach explained that, today, they would have stations like jumping jacks, soccer, and laps. You could spend all your time in one or switch around, but you couldn't just do nothing. You could also walk the laps instead of running.
